St Annes international kite festival #1 complaint : we sat in traffic for hours (because we set off late) #2 We spent ages finding a parking space. solution! beat the traffic, no parking space required. pack your ruck sack and board the train straight into St Annes on the Sea! a short walk from the station straight to the pier.

We come sharing great news, and hope you can share too!
St Anne's International Kite Festival Returns for 2025 on the 29th 30th 31st August!
This three-day event is a partnership between Fylde Council and SmileFactor10, and will see tens of thousands of visitors from all over the United Kingdom as well as kite fliers from across the globe coming together to fill the skies with colour over the course of the weekend. please share! share! share!

Sad day today and we all say are farewells and go back to our lives, last night we had a farewell ceremony and gala dinner, our table picked up an amazing 6 awards! And it would seem that line dancing has found its way to the beautiful Bintulu, Borneo. Suffice to say it’s not been a classic due to the weather but we did get one great day on Saturday. We give are inadequate thank yous to Bintulu Development Authority , Donita Kinchang and Gadis Widiyati along with all the volunteers that make Bintulu IKF happen. St. Annes international kite festival was spoken about with great affection by the folks that had been and plenty more besides, I hope you have all enjoyed this little insight into the kiting world, not that I want you all to rush out and buy a kite to save the world but… it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to sign up and join us all on the beach at St Anne’s next year! Peace out ✌️

The stars aligned and we had a great Saturday, the wind just got better and better. Burnt to a crisp and absolutely shattered but spirits are high this evening!

I can assure you that no one is more disappointed than kite flyers when the weather doesn’t play ball, cancelling our Sunday was done with a very heavy heart so when we get complaints it does irk a little… imagine travelling 7000 miles and the weather turns on you… still Roti Canai to keep us positive, voted the best bread in the world and it’s easy to see why. I think it’s clearing up!
