**Notice to all heritage drivers**

Unsure on attending our event still? Not a problem but to let you know of our entries close dates

Heritage drivers entry closure date

16th July - For paper and online version if you wish to do a route. However you can still request to do a backup route further from this date or be static.

8th August - All retail vendor applications will close on this date however if you send an email to [email protected] after the 8th we may consider you. Maximum deadline to the 10th August.

9th August - Heritage drivers paper Entries will close at 17:00

21st August Online applications will close to for backup entries. However you can still apply onward from this date..

22nd August at 04:30 - Online Applications will close fully. NOTE it's not advised to sign up on the 21st or 22nd August as you will not be reigsitered to our mailbox at this time. Therefore communication will be low to non existent. If you require urgent response please send a message over to us on messenger which one of our staff members will be running during the event for help and support.

***Notice for public***

If something happens during our event please speak to a member at our customer service desk located by the barn of the event (near the bus interchange station)

However if something may to happen or have an enquiry while you're exploring in the forest please do send us a message so we can look into your case as soon as possible.

However due to the nature of the new forest please do take extra care and do not approach any wild animals or go into any very long grass.

If you find yourself in a dangerous situation please contact 999 immediately.

While we encourage you to explore the forest please do take basic steps on being safe within the national Park & we cannot provide support if anyone happens to be lost.

As we begin looking ahead towards a possible 2027 event, we are also considering the future identity and branding of the rally.

With the event continuing to grow, we feel it is important that the name reflects both the community spirit of the event and its long-term future within the New Forest area.

We would really value feedback from both enthusiasts and the local community on which name feels the most appealing and representative of the event moving forward.

Option 1 New Forest Bus Rally & Running Day 2027

-Why we like it-

* Creates a broader regional identity centred around the New Forest National Park.

* Instantly recognisable to visitors from outside Hampshire.

* Helps promote the wider New Forest experience, including tourism, accommodation, rail links, local businesses and attractions.

* Provides flexibility should the event continue to grow in future years.

* Strong potential for tourism partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.

-Things to consider-

*Slightly less focused on the local host community

*Some may assume the event moves around the New Forest each year.

*Gives less direct recognition to Brockenhurst itself.

Option 2 Brockenhurst Bus Rally & Running Day 2027

-Why we like it-

* Strong community and village-focused identity.
Directly promotes and supports Brockenhurst and local businesses.

* Easier for returning visitors to immediately recognise the event location.

*Retains a more traditional heritage event feel.
Strengthens local partnerships within the village and surrounding area.

-Things to consider-

* Brockenhurst may be less recognisable to people travelling from further afield.

* Slightly narrower marketing reach outside the South Coast.

* Could feel more limiting if the event expands significantly in future years.

We’re really pleased with how the network for the rally is coming together, with a number of services already fully covered and several others well on their way.

There’s been a fantastic response from owners, operators and the preservation community so far, and it’s shaping up to be a brilliant day for both enthusiasts and visitors alike.

We are, however, still looking for a few additional vehicles and heritage drivers to help complete the remaining workings and bring the full network to life. If you’d be interested in getting involved and being part of the day, we’d love to hear from you.

The Lyndhurst Bus Rally is returning for 2026 and it’s shaping up to be a brilliant day out at Strawberry Fields in the heart of the New Forest.

Expect heritage buses, classic cars, food stalls, bus enthusiast stands and special feeder services taking you through parts of the New Forest the usual tours don’t reach 🌲

Whether you’re a lifelong bus enthusiast or just looking for something different to do with the family, this is one of those unique Hampshire events worth adding to the calendar.

Public Announcement

We are aware that some attendees still believe the event is taking place in the centre of Lyndhurst.

While the event retains the name Lyndhurst Bus Rally, the original site in Lyndhurst was changed due to increasing costs & To reduce delays to our services.

To avoid unnecessary confusion for those already familiar with the event, we have decided to keep the existing name for this year.

The event will now be held at Strawberry Fields Car Boot, located just outside Brockenhurst. This venue has been confirmed and publicly announced for some time.

We kindly ask all attendees to take note of the updated location to avoid any confusion on the day.
We are currently reviewing the event name for future years to better reflect the location, but for 2026 the name will remain unchanged.
