Spot the Bosun!
You don’t just need a strong stomach on the waves in this job , but also a head for heights 😱 …. Trilight checked and spreaders cleaned. Well done Ross - I’m sure the views up there were magnificent!

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for our dock team, but next up in our meet the team series is our newest recruit, Ross (although we say new - he’s been with us over three years and we’re still yet to try one of his legendary brownies 🙄🧁!).

After a very busy weekend on the water with the Tattinger Regatta and UKOPRA Offshore Grand Prix, it was a surprise to see we had the western end of the Solent to ourselves this morning

You never know what you will see when out on the Solent with us - it could be a pod of dolphins or perhaps a seal. Today we were treated to the Coastguard and RNLI conducting a training exercise.

The sun is shining and the LYC dock is virtually empty. Today’s guests are out enjoying a fun regatta, whilst we prep for another 180 guests tomorrow across 9 yachts, 9 RIBs and our Neo powerboat. No matter the size of your group, drop us a line and we can create a memorable day on the water for you and your guests

Whether you are arriving for a bareboat charter or on a skippered corporate charter with us, one of the first friendly faces you are likely to encounter on the dock is James (aka Jimmy or Jimbob!), whose responsibility it is to keep the fleet running smoothly …

What a stunning sight out on the Solent today with over 1000 yachts competing in the Round the Island Race. With the first boats over the line, we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the first of the LYC yachts which is currently passing Ryde, with the finish line in sight
