A few snippets from day two at Ludlow Food Festival. Thank you to the chefs and demonstrators who kindly gave their time. The volunteers, including the lovely Karen who was with us behind stage. The sponsors for their fresh produce and liquid refreshment. The producers who said yes when we asked if we could use their wonderful produce for the stage. To the best aprons in the business Risdon & Risdon. The best pans in the world Netherton Foundry. To Stych Farm Studio for their beautiful pottery and wooden boards. To our team in green, and last, but by no means least, YOU if you came and sat a while. We don’t know if it will be our last time at Ludlow, but if it was, we went out in style

Second day at Pershore Plum Festival last BH Monday with this fabulous line up. Josh Egan from Wyre Pershore College. The legend that is Reg Moule, the inimitable Howard Middleton, Mark and Sue Stinchcombe from Eckington Manor, Steve Lyons from All about the Food, and Felice Tocchini from Felis Worcester, oh and Stilt Man! Huge thank you to Angela Taylor and the team for inviting us again, and thank you if you came and sat a while

We were trying to work out how long we have been part of Ludlow Food Festival, and we think this will be our 18th year, and for many of those years, we also curated the Chef demos before stepping away after Katie was poorly.
There isn’t an event quite like this one, yes it was the first ever Food Festival in the UK, but it’s more than that. The setting of the Castle, the atmosphere, the audience who sit and join in, the feel of the place, the people.
One thing you might not know, is that none of the Chefs and Speakers who join us are paid, which perhaps makes it a little more special. Ludlow is an amazing town with a rich heritage, and it also happens to be our local town too. Whatever happens, we are very proud to have been part of it, and we’ll see you there with our ‘team in green’ next week

Day one at Pershore Plum Festival Lovely to see Josh from Pershore College, and our dear friend Reg Moule, both proper plantsmen, and so knowledgeable. Then came the fab Chef Steve Lyons with his soufflés without the use of a safety net, and then our Howard, Howard Middleton, Katie’s podcast co host from ShackbaggerlyPodcast Thank you if you came and sat a while, and we do it all again today, and with 3 more Chefs as well - going to be busy!
