Waveney Folk Club

Waveney Folk Club https://waveneyfolkclub.co.uk/whatson.php The Club meets at the Gunton Community Hall in Hollingsworth Road, Lowestoft.

Club meetings are every two weeks between 8pm and 11pm. The club books guest singers and groups from all over the country, and has a friendly informal atmosphere that welcomes floor singers, but if you want to sing, please arrive early to avoid disappointment. The cost of admission when a booked guest artist is performing is £6.

This Wednesday 6th August The Dove Inn on the A143 between Bungay and Harleston will be presenting an acoustic evening.
Time 7.30pm-10.30pm. All music styles welcome so come along to perform or simply listen to the live music on offer….
This is a free to attend event so come and enjoy this friendly acoustic evening……

Thanks to everyone who came along to the Singers Night. lots of good music and some new faces in the audience and overall a well attended folk club evening.
The folk club website has now been updated to include the first two booked folk artists who will be appearing in September when the autumn programme begins.
So keep supporting the club your loyalty and involvement is always most welcome.

This Friday 1st August the Waveney Folk Club will be presenting its summer season Step Up to the Stage, Singers Night. So come along and sing your favourite song or play your favourite tune, or simply listen to the music. There is bound to be a wide variety of songs and tunes, it’s all part of the evenings entertainment.
Everyone Welcome. There is no door charge tonight just a collection to cover the cost of hiring the hall.
Time 8pm-11pm……

Thanks to everyone who came along to the Step Up to the Stage Singers Night on Friday…Absolutely brilliant evening with a wonderful variety of songs and tunes . This Singers Night certainly showed the wealth of talented floor singers who entertain at the folk club when local performers and visitors take to the stage. Thanks again to everyone who came along with their music and made it such a special folk club evening……

This Friday 20th June the fabulous folk duo called The Blow-ins will be appearing at the Waveney Folk Club. This highly talented duo play Celtic Harp and guitar together with delightful vocal harmonies performing new and old songs which are always popular with folk club audiences.
Time 8pm-11pm Admission £6.50p. Everyone Welcome.

This Friday 6th June the Waveney Folk Club will be celebrating its 53rd Birthday. Yes after 53 years the folk club is still going strong; thanks to all the people who have supported the club over last 53 years, people both past and present. This Friday we will be holding a special Birthday Singers Night.
So come along and play your favourite song or tune, or simply listen to the entertaining music on offer.
Everyone Welcome and I am sure there will be, as always, a wide variety of music to celebrate this evening at the Waveney Folk Club.

Thanks to everyone who supported the Waveney Folk Club on Friday and enjoyed a fabulous gig from Pennyless; a really first class folk band it was great to see them performing once again at the Waveney Folk Club. The floor singers also did a splendid job helping to create that unique folk club experience.
Yes a really good number of people in the audience, thanks again you are always welcome at the Waveney Folk Club….

Friday 23rd May the folk band Pennyless will be appearing at the Waveney Folk Club. This four piece folk band will be making a welcome return to the club for what promises to be a real entertaining evening of lively folk music from these experienced and highly talented folk performers….
