What an amazing week I'm having. I've just been booked to do a Naming Ceremony in this beautiful building the sessions house in Spalding Lincolnshire.

The Sessions House is proud to be one of the most iconic and unique buildings in Eastern England. Formerly a working courthouse, it is now an extraordinary wedding and events venue. Serving Lincolnshrie, Cambridgeshire, and beyond.

So, I have the privilege and responsibility today of officiating a very special Wedding Ceremony for a fabulous couple A&K.
Now I can't keep calm not only am I their Chosen Nick Webb Civil Celebrant I am the Brides Father.

Busy, busy bee!🐝

Yesterday was a good day but ever so busy!! Yesterday consisted of a funeral service, a wedding venue visit and video consultation with a family regarding their naming ceremony.

Whilst there were moments I felt as if I simply hadn't stopped yesterday I can't help but love it all! It is a great privilege that I get to fill up my days being a part of such beautiful moments, celebrating all that life is and has to offer.

I just wanted to share with you a tiny snippet of a very lovely follow-up message I received recently..

"Things are settling down a bit as we come to terms with the loss of Mum. On the day you made everything so much easier."

This message stopped me in my tracks for several reasons. This tiny extract in particular reminded me of a huge part of why I do what I do. Regardless of the type of ceremony I am conducting I give my all to put you at the heart of it all. I strive to make the entire process as easy for you as possible so that together we can ensure you are getting exactly the ceremony you desire.

This message was a reminder to me of what a privilege it is to be a part of life's journey along with you. I get the honour of working alongside the most wonderful clients and that really does make me feel very proud of what I do.

What a Day
Witnessed a 2 +2 ceremony only thing is the young lady next to me was my Yougest Daughter ahead of her Celebrant led Wedding Ceremony in a couple of weeks.

Can I have some religious content even if I'm not getting married in a religious setting?
The answer is, absolutely, you can!!

One of the things that makes choosing a celebrant lead ceremony is the way in which we can totally customise everything to be what you want it to be. If you have an idea of exactly what you want in your ceremony, then we can definitely work together to create something special and just for you. I am happy to help you put as much or as little religious content into your ceremony no matter the setting. If you want prayers, hymns, worship, and readings, we'll include them whether we're in a barn, on the beach, or in the meadow. A true joy in my job is making your visions come to life.

Earlier this week I had the privilege of Leading a Committal service followed by a Service of Thanksgiving Supported by a Great Team from Gordon Barber Funeral Directors Lowestoft and Yesterday it was my absolute honour to lead the Wedding Ceremony at Elms Barn Weddings with the most Gorgeous couple D&J. Thank you to all who put their faith and trust in me.

Dying Matters Week 2025
5th May - 11th May

Today marks the start of Dying Matters Week and provides us with an opportunity to talk about death and break down the stigmas surrounding it.

You may find yourself asking - what is Dying Matters Week? Well it's a campaign that is run by the charity, Hospice UK. Their aim is to work with a range of organisations and the general public to help make things a little bit easier for people who are dying or grieving.

Right now death and Dying still feels very much like a taboo subject and one that is difficult to approach. Because of this it can make it extremely difficult for people to get the support that they truly need when they loose a loved one, or even when they are coming to the end of life. This is why it is so important to raise awareness and to help each other to talk about such things.

My inbox is always open and available to anyone who needs it, to talk about whatever they are going through or experiencing. It is my hope that I can help ease what is often such a difficult time in anyway I can.

I strongly urge anyone who is struggling to seek out help from wherever they can. Please check out the Hospice UK website and look at joining the Dying Matters community.
