Always striving for better!

What an honour it was to have completed this incredible masterclass - Dying for a Cuppa with Katie Costello.

I take any and every opportunity I can to keep improving myself and my business. This enables to make sure I am always bringing the very best I can to all my clients.

I cannot recommend Katie and her Dying for a Cuppa Masterclass enough. This wasn't just incredibly helpful for me professionally but also personally. It challenged and inspired in equal measure.

I will keep improving and I will keep learning and I will continue supporting families throughout all of life's precious moments!

Thank you Katie.

The recent case involving Robert Bush has shocked and saddened everyone connected with the funeral profession.

My thoughts remain first and foremost with the families whose trust was so profoundly betrayed. No family should ever have to endure such heartbreak.

As a Funeral Celebrant, I have the privilege of working alongside many funeral directors across our community. Day after day I witness the compassion, dignity, professionalism and genuine care they show to every family they serve. For them, this is far more than a profession—it is a vocation built on trust, respect and the honour of caring for someone at the end of their life's journey.

I know that many funeral professionals have been deeply affected by these events. The actions of one individual do not reflect the values of the countless dedicated people who work tirelessly, often behind the scenes, to ensure every person is treated with the utmost dignity and every family receives the highest standard of care.

As our profession continues to welcome greater transparency and regulation, I hope this serves to strengthen the trust that families place in those who care for their loved ones.

Today I simply want to express my support and gratitude to the many outstanding funeral directors, funeral staff and colleagues who continue to serve families with compassion, integrity and unwavering professionalism every single day.

✨ LAST PLACES REMAINING FOR 2026 ✨

There are now just a handful of places left on my final Dying for a Cuppa® Masterclasses of the year.

This full-day, CPD-accredited training explores death education from a deeply human perspective, helping you feel more informed, confident and comfortable when supporting people through dying and end-of-life care.

Across the day, we explore:

💬 Communication
💜 Emotions
🥄 Eating and drinking in a dying body
🌿 The physical changes that happen as someone dies

This training is suitable for care professionals, celebrants, doulas, healthcare staff and ANYONE whose work and life brings them alongside people who are dying or supporting someone they love.

You’ll also receive a comprehensive workbook, a CPD certificate and a digital badge on completion.

These are the last opportunities to attend the Masterclass this year, so if you’ve been thinking about joining me, now is the time.

Come and join me for a day of education, connection and conversation, and help make death and dying feel more human and less clinical, and less scary ☕️❤️

Well this came as a bit of a surprise... I've been nominated!🙈

Oh my goodness!

What an incredible honour it is just to receive a nomination for these prestigious awards. I do not do this job for the awards or accolades, I do what I do for the love I have for every family I work with no matter the ceremony we are celebrating. I cannot begin to explain how humbling it is that people think enough of my work that they take time out of their day to nominate me for this kind of recognition. I am extremely grateful and thank you from the bottom of my heart!

☀️ Heatwave Wedding? Top Tips! 💍🌿

A sunny wedding day is beautiful... but when temperatures soar, a little planning goes a long way in keeping everyone comfortable!

Here are my top tips:

💧 Stay hydrated – Have plenty of water available for yourselves and your guests. A welcome drink station is always appreciated!

🧴 Think about shade – If you're having an outdoor ceremony, consider parasols, gazebos or a shaded seating area.

🪭 Keep guests cool – Hand fans make lovely favours and are incredibly practical on a hot day.

🌸 Dress for the weather – Lighter fabrics and comfortable footwear can make all the difference. No one wants overheating to steal the spotlight!

⏰ Time it right – If possible, avoid the hottest part of the day for outdoor ceremonies.

🧴 Don't forget sunscreen – A little SPF before the ceremony can save some very red wedding photos later!

📸 Take short breaks – If you're having lots of photos outdoors, don't be afraid to pop into the shade or grab a cold drink between shots.

❤️ Most importantly, relax and enjoy your day. A little sunshine is wonderful, and with a few simple preparations, your wedding can be every bit as magical—even during a heatwave!

Are you planning a summer wedding? I'd love to hear your plans in the comments! ☀️💍

It's Star Wars day, it's a bank holiday, it's a beautiful day to get married!

Today all the love in the galaxy comes together for a beautiful couple. What an honour it is being asked to be a part of such a special day. This couple have waited patiently for their day to arrive and it's finally here. I hope they are ready to soak up every gorgeous moment!

Who's coming to find me this weekend?😜

Sunday 12th April

11am - 3pm

This time I'll be at the stunning Parkhill Hotel and the weather looks to be cooperating nicely! It has been my privilege to be present at some very special weddings here and so I know first hand what a beautiful wedding venue this is. I am so excited to be exhibiting here at their wedding fair this Sunday.

Please do come and say hello and make the most of seeing some top notch suppliers here too. Sunshine and Parkhill, that sounds like the start of a lovely weekend to me!🫶🏻

Kung Fu🥋

The lighter side of celebrants.
One thing I love about my job as a celebrant is that it still allows me to have a little fun. It was at the recent Pint Sized Wedding Fair at Adnams that this fun photo was taken with the amazing Barkers Photo Fun - top class for all your photobooth needs!

Part of the beauty of having a celebrant lead wedding is that there are far fewer constraints and rules that peg us into a box. Your ceremony is truly free to be tailor made exactly the way you want it making it totally unique to you. That means it can be as serious, or as fun, as you want it to be.

I consider it a real honour that I am able to both be serious about my job but also completely willing to have fun with my clients bringing extra joy to the occasion. If you've got an idea of something you want for your wedding then let's talk. If you're worried it might be too crazy or bonkers, ask me about it. We can absolutely have a conversation and see how we can work together to make your ideas a reality.

A huge thank you to Victor Ling for always being a great sport. I do highly recommend Victor and his team at barkers photo fun for any photobooth needs at any event!
