Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming high-school student Archie to LCR for a week of work experience🌟

During his time with us, Archie worked alongside freelancers, gaining practical insight into the world of lighting design for live events. He assisted with mounting fixtures on truss and cable looming in preparation for an upcoming stadium show with Gorillaz, as well as supporting the de-prep of kit from a returning job.

Reflecting on his experience, Archie said:

“Throughout my week at LCR, I have really enjoyed working with the freelancers. I was surprised at just how unique and complex lighting designs can be.

I chose LCR for my work experience after seeing some of the projects they had previously done. I was fascinated and wondered how it all came together. As well as learning a lot of new skills, I have had a wonderful time at LCR.”

We had a brilliant evening at the profile awards last Thursday celebrating the very best in lighting design across television and theatre🎉

Presented by our Project Co-ordinator Helen Hopkins, we were beyond proud to sponsor the Television: Entertainment - One Off Award once again.

We’re back on the road with the legends Snow Patrol for another summer festival run!

As the crew rolls out a festival package across the UK and Europe, the warehouse is where it all begins. These shots capture the build of Davy Sherwin’s lighting design, with lighting, control and rigging systems assembled and tested, ready to deliver those iconic ‘chasing car’ moments night after night.

We had the privilege of supporting DJ and Producer Black Coffee as he brought his world-class orchestral show to The O2, his biggest UK headline performance to date.

The venue transformed into a powerful fusion of electronic music and live orchestration, centred around an immersive, in-the-round 360° stage. To match the scale and ambition of the production, we delivered a dynamic lighting rig featuring an array of industry-leading fixtures from Ayrton, including Domino LT, Kyalami, Perseo, Diablo and Argo 6 FX, alongside CHAUVET Professional’s Color Strike M and V. ROBE lighting iForte LTX followspots were also used to illuminate the 16 guest artists.

A truly unforgettable night and one that will be remembered for many years to come.

What a weekend at Neighbourhood Weekender! 🎪

It’s always a pleasure to be back at the UK’s biggest Indie music festival supplying a festival rig for all three stages. Big thanks to SJM Concerts for having us, it was an incredible weekend supporting some of the biggest names in Indie music as well as some extremely talented emerging artists.

A huge congratulations to our Creative Industries Production Technician apprentices Josh and Paul on passing their final apprenticeship exam with flying colours!

From honing their technical skills within the warehouse to showing real professionalism on-site, this is a huge milestone and just the beginning of what we know will be brilliant careers in the industry.

We couldn’t be prouder of everything they’ve achieved⭐️

On Thursday, our rigging department developed their expertise across industry-standard practices at a specialist loose rigging course with UK RIGGING.

The team focused on correct inspection protocols, selecting load-rated equipment, and ensuring all kit is properly prepared, certified, and dispatched in line with best practice for live event environments.

They also covered proper handling and storage procedures, maintaining kit integrity, traceability, and compliance when returning from jobs.

This week, we were proud to support Mental Health Awareness Week with a series of wellbeing activities.

We welcomed The Pamper Company, who treated the team to stress-relieving massages, leaving everyone feeling refreshed, relaxed and focused for the rest of the day. A huge thank you to Rachel and Wendy for joining us!💆‍♀️

Yesterday, we headed outdoors with a walk up Darwen Tower. It was a bit of a climb, with plenty of encouragement needed on the steeper sections 😅 but absolutely worth it for the views at the top.

A brilliant few days bringing the team together💙
