John Cleese says people without a sense of humour shouldn't decide on what we can laugh at.

The Monty Python star believes there’s been a crazy shift in attitudes, where people without a sense of humour are the ones deciding what the rest of us are “allowed” to laugh at. For Cleese, that’s as ridiculous as letting colour-blind people choose which colours belong on a chart.

For him, comedy has always been about pushing boundaries, poking fun, and making us see the world differently. Cleese argues that when humour is restricted, it’s not just jokes that suffer – it’s free expression.
