host other events such as fine dining evenings. Sutton Bonington Hall has four large reception rooms and six beautiful and classically designed bedrooms: each one having stunning views over either the perfectly landscaped and manicured gardens or local pastures and fields. A warm welcome to all the newly engaged couples and new faces who’ve found Sutton Bonington Hall recently - we’ve had such a lovely flurry of enquiries over the past few weeks and thought it was the perfect time to properly introduce ourselves.

Sutton Bonington Hall is a Grade II* Queen Anne country house in the heart of the East Midlands, surrounded by gardens and available on an exclusive-use basis for weddings.

The house is still very much a family home, and we think that’s a big part of why days here feel the way they do. Welcoming, comfortable, relaxed and personal, while still feeling incredibly special.

When you book Sutton Bonington Hall, the entire house and grounds are yours for the day. Guests can enjoy the gardens, Conservatory and the rooms inside the Hall throughout the celebration, which gives the whole day a lovely atmosphere from beginning to end.

Couples often tell us they love how flexible everything feels here too. Outdoor ceremonies in the gardens, intimate indoor ceremonies in the Drawing Room, long summer drinks receptions outside, dinners in the Conservatory overlooking the grounds, and evenings where everyone stays together within the house.

Jake & Rachel filled Sutton Bonington Hall in exactly the way we love seeing the house used 🌿
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
From the moment guests arrived, every part of the day moved through the house and gardens with ease. Rachel getting ready upstairs with views across the grounds, guests gathering in the Drawing Room before the ceremony, drinks out on the lawns afterwards, confetti across the front of the Hall, and dinner in the Conservatory as the evening light started to soften outside.

Jake & Rachel have said one of the things they loved most was having the entire house and grounds exclusively to themselves for the day. Because we host a limited number of weddings here each year, couples have the time and freedom to enjoy the space properly, including coming the day before to set everything up exactly how they want it.

One of the things couples really like about the Conservatory at Sutton Bonington Hall is how flexible the space feels once you start planning your reception 🌿🤍

Some couples go for long tables running through the room, others prefer smaller round tables, and many choose a mixture of both like this setup. Because the Conservatory has so much space and height to it, the room never feels cramped, and guests can move around comfortably throughout the evening.

It also changes beautifully through spring, summer and early autumn weddings. You still have the gardens around you during dinner, the light stays with the room well into the evening, and speeches happen with that view carrying right through the space behind you.
