Put simply, because I absolutely love it. I started out a few years ago as a photographer and videographer working in industry, making all sorts of corporate videos for events, internal news stories, products and the company blog. The thing which always interested me most was how to create a story, through the capturing of great footage and editing it altogether to make something meaningful. When my friends got married a couple of years ago, I offered to do their wedding video and loved every minute of it. That moment when I handed over the video and saw how moved they were was the best thing. And that’s exactly why I do what I love. Not only that, sustainability is really important to me. More laughs, more games, more cats. The ultimate wedding promises! Z+R married at the wonderful Dodford Manor last month and I am still not over the fact there was an ACTUAL WEDDING CAT who made an appearance several times during their day. What could honestly be better for these two cat lovers!?

These two made this day their own, a totally unique celebration that felt utterly joyful. As two more introverted types who don't necessarily enjoy being in the spotlight, these two fully embraced the day, clearly supported by a fantastic bunch of close-knit people who have been with them since the start of their journey together.

Long live the nerds.

Let's chat personal vows shall we? The vows between E+C were beautiful, honest and vulnerable. It was so lovely that these two were able to share such personal words between them in front of everyone they love. An incredible wedding day at Sutton Bonington Hall!

But here at Laura Baker Productions HQ, I have zero expectations about what your ceremony should look like. I will always encourage the two of you to be yourselves, and if that means you would rather have a quick official ceremony, followed by personal vows together after the ceremony, without microphones, away from everyone else, I fully support that too.

It's your day and you should do what you want to do. It's that simple!
