The last bouquet of August 2026 and it was a real soft romantic one. With lots of little zinnias, cosmos, hydrangea’s, roses and dahlias. For me it’s always the textural elements that bring it together though, the grasses, thlaspi and that hedgerow honeysuckle that survived the drought!

This one made its way to L&K Trevenna a lovely, very laid back couple who were the sweetest to work with. Congratulations guys xx

The last wedding in August and the garden has shifted to autumn with the welcome return to some rain.

On one hand I’m sad, the endless warm days, eating in the garden and sneaking off for swims at mid-day….however, it’s fair to say challenges of climate change on the garden has been anything but stressful. Seeing some crops go over very quickly is heartbreaking but already lots of my garden was planted for climate variations and I’m so pleased to have taken these steps some years ago. Adapting and educating is key!

These beauties headed to today and I can’t wait to share more and the bridal bouquet tomorrow x

Elegant archways Boconnoc Estate

Taking a natural approach to styling a pretty natural church archway is always at the forefront of my mind. Balancing the delicate elements in the arrangement against the granite, stone, slate and lichen. Never allowing one or other to overpower but creating an arrangement that might in fact be growing there naturally by itself!

There is something rather special about cornus season and I was so happy for P&J when it flowered in time for their wedding.

As the heat continues I think we are all going slightly bonkers!!! Early mornings, boiling studios, admin in the shade and starting work in the field when the sun goes down again….how do our European friends do this?!

This bouquet was from a lovely mid-week wedding Trevenna with some beautiful table details I must share soon!

Hugely grateful for fabulous clients like R&J. In a summer of 3 heat waves (so far!) after such a wet Spring it’s clients that ‘are happy with all the colours of the garden’ truly make a huge difference to my job!
