Merry Christmas Eve you lovely lot! Hope you are all set for the big man tonight, our boys certainly are.

We’ve had one heck of a year and feel so thankful to all of our brilliant couples. We genuinely are blessed with the best people. Enjoy your first Christmas cheersing as newly weds!!!!

And to those getting set for their 2026 wedding!! Eeek you are in for such an incredible time. We are very very excited for you and can’t wait to see your just married faces!

And a jolly big Merry Crimbo to everyone else, to those that have partied with us, stayed with us, cheersed at the bar and got down on the dance floor – may Santa be generous and the love endless.

CHRISSY SUPPER CLUB // With the incredible The Cottage in the Wood. Last Sunday we had a right old festive treat here as the awesome Jack and Beth Bond were back with their brilliant team to treat a Lovable Old Barn full of festive grins to a Michelin Starred meal like no other. A huge thank you to the team and to the brilliant Taste Cumbria for entrusting us with the wonderful evening once again.

HACKED // Off. Completely and utterly. Last weekend our Low Hall The Lakes Instagram account was hacked into along with my personal Facebook account.

I’ve spent the week tirelessly trying to get back into it with no joy. Thankfully I’ve been able to access this, our LHTL Facebook, but I know so many of our couples don’t use Facebook and Instagram is really our biggest advertising platform. Not only that it’s been our online journal from day dot, the day that we got the keys back in 2017. It’s followed us through huge renovations (again and again!), our first wedding and so many beautiful days since. It was a source of inspo and positivity in the pandemic, it's welcomed new family members into the world and has shared so many incredible Low Hall milestones. It’s been an amazing hub of inspiration for so many couples past and future and it’s been a celebration of so many incredible days and gorgeous people. It is a celebration of everything we stand for and have achieved as a little family business.

Our web traffic is already down 50% and we’re coming into our busiest time for freshly engaged couples wanting to know who we are, what we stand for and what their wedding day could look like. My head has been close to popping this week, what the dickweeds behind hacking into accounts get out of it, we’ll never understand. Bastards.

Anyhoo depressing rant over, it’s Christmas and we still have old FaceyB and lots of loveliness to share. So it’s standby on our Instagram account, I’ll keep you posted with progress (or nogress).

SAUSAGE // Burying doesn't work BUT Etsy Weather Witches do.

And Jess and Andy's day is all the proof I need! Just before Jess stepped out of the door, down her woodland aisle, the clouds parted and out popped pops of blue. Drinks in the garden overlooking the fells followed, with a trip to Crummock Water for A&J and even a dreamy first dance in the garden too. There was a sword, incredible flowers, a fairytale kinda dress and the sweetest personalised illustrations by the bride herself, around every corner and in every detail. Personalised to perfection and so very Andy and Jess.
