🎉🍕 Jamie’s Backyard Slice is 1! 🍕🎉

Sunday marked one year since I started this little enterprise, and it has been quite the journey! It began in a teeny wee gazebo with just the essential gear and two Roccboxes. I really had no idea where it might take me, but I knew I had to give it a go and find out.

So much has happened over the last year, and from very humble beginnings JBS is growing into something pretty special.

I’ve catered many private events across East Lothian, Edinburgh and beyond. I bought a new mixer (doesn’t sound much but transformed my dough production!). I took delivery of 2 Arc XLs. With the help of I upgraded to a larger printed gazebo that offered room to expand and do more, and provided a striking look for my brand. I bought a (much needed) van 🚐. I began regularly popping up in the best pub in Scotland (). I served 203 pizzas at Aberlady Gala. I have attended heaps of community and sporting events across Scotland. I’ve dipped my toes in market trading .yard.market and NB harbour market. I’ve done some great work with raising funds and offering new experiences to young people. And of course, I’ve made LOTS of pizzas.

I wonder what the next 12 months will bring?

Mega weekend! 4 private parties done in 3 days. About 150 people fed.

I’m always hearing ‘this is the best pizza I’ve ever had’ from guests, which is nice. Doing something right!

Great couple of days with a private party in a beautiful setting, and the fun happy vibes of Campie Primary School Fair.
