Folks just for clarification due to the volume of people asking and contacting our page... Oktoberfest Derry/Pennyburn has absolutely NO AFFILIATION with us or our long-standing 9 year event - OKTOBERFEST DERRY.

We finished our 9th sucessful year of Oktoberfest Derry on Sunday 13th October in the peace garden Foyle street, Derry.

Why this well known promoter has used the name of local event established almost 10 years instead of using his own initiative is beyond words.

We have also been contacted by several of our annual acts and told that he has tried to book them using our name..

Shocking and very unprofessional.

We have been bombarded over the last week with calls, texts and hatefull messages from members of the public as to why this event keeps being cancelled and put off as they are under the illusion it is our event.

It is not and we have no affiliation.

Had this promoter used his own initiative when naming the event we wouldnt have to make this statement and we would have wished him all the best.

There is only one Oktoberfest Derry 🍻🤠

Big thank you to The Roaring Rams for an outstanding performance yesterday 👏

We would like to apologise to all who paid in last night to the final night of Oktoberfest for the headline artist, turning up an hour and a half late for her set and in no state to perform.

For any offence caused we would like to apologise wholeheartedly as we took very seriously the shared space Environment of The Peace Garden, all acts booked this year were instructed not to sing anything that could or may cause offence or sing anything that could or may cause the public to sing or chant anything offensive.

This was the case until protocol was abruptly ignored during last night's final performance

Any signal from our staff to stop was ignored and the artist played on.

Aside from this, It's been a special week and we look forward to 10 years of Oktoberfest Derry next year.
