With lots of exciting retreats coming up this summer, I thought this would be a great time to reintroduce myself!
Hi! š Iām Lauren, the chef behind Nourish & Yoke.
Iāve now worked professionally as a chef in the events industry for nine years (how did that happen?!). Over that time, Iāve had the privilege of exploring cuisines and cooking styles from cultures all around the world ā constantly inspired by the way food brings people together.
I love creating dishes that feel exciting, colourful and deeply nourishing, often blending flavours and influences to create something unique whilst always delivering beautifully presented food made with care and intention.
Over the last year, my path into retreat catering has continued to deepen, and Iāve realised more than ever that my passion doesnāt stop at the plate.
Alongside my work as a chef, I continue exploring holistic therapies, somatic healing, nervous system regulation and personal development ā and these practices now naturally weave their way into the menus I create.
Iām deeply inspired by the connection between food, the body and emotional wellbeing, curating menus with ingredients that support relaxation, grounding and nourishment from the inside out. Foods rich in magnesium, B vitamins and calming properties designed to gently support the work already being done within retreats and healing spaces.
For me, food is so much more than something we eat. Itās comfort, connection, energy, care, celebration and healing all at once š¤
