Hi everyone, we hope you're well. Unfortunately there will not be a large scale event this year but the menorah will be in place as usual on Trafalgar Square so if you are local make sure you go and see it, it will be lit each night but with no celebrations. We hope to be back with an event next year. Please contact your local Chabad to see what live events are on near you.

As well as the 30ft menorah being in Trafalgar Square, the London Eye will be lit up to celebrate Chanukah on Sunday 5th December. There is a competition being run to win a VIP pod experience for up to 16 people (RRP £450). Entering the competition couldn't be easier, simply post a photo of you/your family lighting a menorah on any of the nights of Chanukah or posing alongside a public menorah and tag the The Jewish Leadership Council and The Jewish News on either Twitter, Facebook or Instagram using . We understand how difficult these times are and we hope this portal is able to support you.

As you may have seen in the build up to Chanukah in the Square, we held a competition for 5-13 year olds to write a special Chanukah poem with the winning poem being turned into a game by the amazing Jewish Interactive team. Our winner was 7 year old Felix Lewis who produced a brilliant poem, well done Felix! The game is now live on the Ji Tap Platform and available to download via android and iOS.

The game is fun and educational and can be played at https://jitap.net/activities/g96v/play/chanukah-in-the-square and reminse about chanukah
