In my time at BRIDGE__48 I spent 5+ hours a day in the studio and filled any gaps with finding the best tapas obviously 🇪🇸

As you can see from the sheen of sweat on my face, it was a pretty sweaty time 💦

I’ll be sharing the first of these projects tomorrow! Lots of new tunes and re-discoveries in here!👽

Seemed appropriate given the rain but water has always been a big thing for me. 🌊

I guess it seems quite basic to say but especially these last few months and in some difficult times, i know it makes a huge difference. 🌊

I feel like it’s got such a cleansing, refreshing and mindset shifting power 🌊

It’s something I definitely didn’t overlook on my recent Barcelona solo trip but anywhere, even just the local pool or beach. 🌊

I tried to channel this calming energy into the most recent Flat Earth Disco show on LOOSE.fm 📻

More to come on that soon but for now, just a little reminder to go out and touch g̶r̶a̶s̶s̶ water 🌊

I may have sweated through 9 T-shirts, 14 pairs of socks in 6 days but it was worth it!

I recently went over to Barça to BRIDGE__48 for an intensive week of 1-1 workshops, playing gigs and spending hours in the studio working on mixes and recording live sets!

Super interesting delving more into the branding, sound ID and product creation side of things.

Looking forward to putting a lot of this into practice and hopefully making my way back to Barcelona again soon.

Thanks to Hernan Herrera Kid Moss and Arista for the valuable lessons ❤️

Definitely check out Bridge if you’re ever over, a really cool space for DJs, producers and vinyl heads.
Looking forward to sharing more of what I learnt and what I created while over there!

For now, sad to be back but feeling inspired and further away from heat stroke 😎

What do you guys play after a massive track?

Push the energy higher? drop it down? switch it up?

With this set I knew where I wanted the peak to be, towards the end.

But the energy built quicker than I anticipated (which is great!)

The stars (keys and bpms) aligned and I played my target track early!

(I also knew some people would leave near the end due to stage schedule clashes)

There’d been a few big tracks in a row so I didn’t want to go up again and take away from that moment.

I also didn’t want to completely bring things down too much (which I might have done with a longer set).

So I went for the switch up!

Original garage is so good for this, especially after such a loud, every-frequency track, having loads of space really makes a difference.

Also meant I could push the tempo a bit more a dip into some garage crates!

For me sprinkling in a couple of well known songs works way better when there’s good contrast.

Aaaand shamelessly I love getting asked for IDs after a set…

Anyway this is a 10/10 2000s punjabi garage tune called Mehfill Yaara Dhe by RDB
