Let’s talk Filipino wedding rituals!

For fusion couples who want to celebrate their Filipino heritage, modern Filipino wedding rituals offer a wonderful way to honour tradition whilst giving these rituals a personalised touch.

These wedding traditions reflect the rich history and values of Filipino culture, especially the importance of unity, commitment and love.

Example rituals used in Filipino wedding ceremonies are:

♾️ Veil and Cord (Yugal)- symbol of unity and unbreakable bond

🪙 13 coins (Arras or Arrae) - symbol of prosperity and commitment to care for each other

🕯️ Unity candle - celebrates the coming together of two people, two families, two worlds

You can personalise these rituals in many ways, for example by:

✨Choosing a veil or shawl that has meaning to you

✨Creating a cord with different strands, representing your heritages

✨Using a heirloom box or purse to present the coins n
Personalise the candles with your names and date of marriage

Interested to learn more? Get in touch for a no-obligation chat how I can help make your Filipino fusion wedding extra special.

So grateful when couples take the time to write a review.

Not only do their words help me understand what they have valued in my services, they also give new couples an impression of my style and approach.

Every ceremony starts with in-depth conversations. These help me to can get an impression of who you are, what you value in life and in your relationship, your vision of your ceremony, your hopes and dreams for your future life together.

Every detail is carefully thought through: ceremony flow, sentences. sentiments, symbolic rituals, timings, and yes .. even the attire I choose for the day. My intention is to blend in, so you can shine.

“Rosalie recently acted as celebrant at our wedding. We found her online and admittedly we were slightly nervous given we were entrusting someone we had never met with such a big and sacred responsibility.

We shouldn’t have been, she was absolutely terrific from the outset and delivered the most wonderful address and service.

She was brilliant at understanding the tone and nature of the ceremony we wanted and executed it brilliantly, looking fantastic in the process, elegant and glamorous yet understated.

Our guests adored her and the positive feedback was immense. Thoroughly recommend.”

A huge thank you to M&S who celebrated their love with intent, substance and style at the grand and elegant

New on my blog: tips for writing inclusive wedding vows that celebrate equality and partnership.

Many couples today are reimagining how they celebrate love.

If you are planning your wedding, you may wish to honour traditions and rituals passed down through your cultural or religious heritage.

However, some of them are shaped by outdated gender roles that no longer resonate.

‘Obey’? No thank you!

In my latest blogpost you find tips on how to write inclusive wedding vows that honour two people who are choosing one another with intention, agency, and a shared sense of purpose.

Whether you’re planning a multicultural, interfaith, bilingual or personalised secular ceremony, your vows can hold space for tradition and progress.

Vows that celebrate your love story, honour your heritage while championing the values you both hold dear.

2025 has been a wonderful year for Fusion Weddings. I’m so grateful to all couples who entrusted me with their story, vision and intentions. Every single wedding has been truly special to craft and conduct.

🎉 Ceremonies included wedding rituals inspired by Sri Lankan, Chinese, Filipino, German, Caribbean, Persian, Hindu, Jewish and Christian heritages.

💌Readings from religious, philosophical, secular and handwritten sources were recited in Spanish, German, Polish, Italian, and of course English.

🌎 Couples and guests flew in from countries all over the world.

💒 Venues included an enchanted chapel, an old record shop, lavish hotels, glorious listed mansions and a picturesque countryside garden.

Every single wedding I create is truly bespoke, crafted with attention and intention, meaning, care and joy.

I can’t wait to embark on the ceremony journeys with my 2026 couples!

If you are planning to celebrate your marriage in 2026 or beyond, get in touch to explore how I can help you frame your vows in a way that you and your guests will cherish forever.

Hello lovely followers! As I’m wrapping up and slowing down for the holidays I wanted to send you my gratitude for being awesome:

✨To the amazing couples I’ve conducted weddings for this year. Every single ceremony I’ve had the honour to conduct has been so special. Thank you for sharing your stories. For putting your trust into me. For being vulnerable, inspirational, and beautiful in all that you are.

✨ To all couples who’ve booked me for their 2026 wedding. I can’t wait to work with you, bringing your vision, ideas, personalities and values to life in a ceremony that truly reflects you.

✨To my wedding supplier friends. You are all so super talented, and your creativity, professionalism, care and dedication shines through in all that you do. Running your own business in these trying times is not easy. It takes belief, hard work, selfcare and so much more.

A special shout-out to who captured me in all my winter glamour glory!

✨To all my followers here. I’m not very good at having a continuous presence here and don’t have a marketing strategy in place so I’m extra grateful to those who cheer me on here with likes, kind comments and shares.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season, whatever that means to you. It’s a time to slow down, to let go of things that no longer serve you, and embrace what makes you shine. ✨

I will tell you,
dearly beloved,
it is clear to us
who have gathered
around you this day
that this blessing already
dances between you.

That it has already
made its home within you.

That it began
to take up residence
long ago
in the place made by
the opening of your hearts
towards one another.

This blessing
is no stranger to you,
but today let us say
we will call it
what it is -
this love,
gentle and fierce,
that takes its place
with you.

This day,
let us say
that we will welcome it
in glad measure,
that we will celebrate it
with unstinting jou,
that we will safeguard it
without reservation.

This day
and all to come,
may you see
what we see
between you;
may you know
what we know
because of you:

The blessing of love
that abodes,
that gives itself
with delight,
that offers itself
with abandon,
that lays itself down
and moves us
to rise again.

- Jan Richardson

It gives me immense joy to bring a couple’s story to life after months of getting to know them through email threads, thoughtful answers to curious questions, the meaning found in exchanged glances, in the pauses, the unspoken language, the subtle energy that exists only between them.

To explore their style, their rhythm, their spark.
The things that make their love unmistakably theirs.

How they meet life’s challenges.
How they celebrate happiness.
How they catch the other when they fall, and encourage them to fly
How they balance and embolden one another.

What it truly means to love in this mystifying, ever-changing world.

Delivering a ceremony is so much more than reading a script.

It is placing heart into carefully chosen words.

Stirring the souls of everyone gathered.

Drawing family and friends into a shared experience,
as they witness the sacred moment where two people choose to share their lives together.

It is the art of creating a memory. A memory that lingers long after the day has passed, and lives on for a lifetime.
