I think we speak for a lot of creatives in the industry when I say weāre TIRED of seeing other peopleās hard work being passed off as someone elseās. š
And no, weāre not talking about taking inspiration, following trends or creating something similar.
Weāre talking about taking someone elseās EXACT content and presenting it as your own.
The footage they captured. The hours they spent editing. The creativity, time and effort that went into producing it.
The wedding industry is full of incredibly talented creatives who work SO hard to build their businesses, develop their skills and create content theyāre proud of.
And quite frankly, itās frustrating to see that hard work being taken without permission or credit.
Itās not just disrespectful to the original creator. Itās misleading to potential clients who believe theyāre booking someone based on work that isnāt actually theirs.
Thereās room for ALL of us in this industry. Support each other, share each otherās work (with permission!), give credit where itās due and build a portfolio that genuinely represents YOUR talent.
Because if you didnāt create it, donāt claim it. Itās really that simple. š
Weād genuinely love to hear from other creatives on this one...
Have you ever had your content taken and passed off as someone elseās? šæ
