Architectural design often plays a quiet but powerful role in wedding aesthetics.

The way a space is shaped, layered and lit can influence the entire atmosphere - often without guests consciously realising why.

Many of the concepts I am currently working on draw inspiration from architectural forms, and my role is to translate them into wedding environments in a way that feels both considered and expressive.

This might come through soft, sculptural draping that defines a space, floral installations with structure and movement, or modern silhouettes that feel clean, refined and intentional.

I always remind my couples not to underestimate the impact of lighting. It doesn’t just illuminate a space - it creates depth, contrast and a sense of mood that can completely transform the experience.

When these elements are thoughtfully brought together, they create an editorial quality that feels immersive and impactful.

Design sits at the heart of my approach to wedding planning. Every detail is chosen not only for its beauty, but for the way it contributes to the overall feeling and flow of the celebration.

If you value an artistic eye and a wedding planner with a design-focused approach, I’d love to discuss how we can craft your dream wedding together.

Delicate, refined wedding stationery

One of the very first design details your guests will notice on your wedding day is your stationery and signage.

It’s an opportunity to introduce the mood of the day in a quiet, considered way. Colour, texture, typography and material choices work together to tell the story of your celebration, subtly signalling the style and atmosphere you’re creating.

This is also a beautiful place to weave in personal touches - perhaps a nod to your family, a detail inspired by your venue, or something meaningful to you as a couple. Handwritten place cards, elegant es**rt displays or thoughtfully designed order‑of‑the‑day booklets all add depth without feeling overstated.

When planned well, these details become more than functional. Place settings and name cards create a moment; they spark conversation, are photographed by your guests, admired and often taken home as keepsakes. Paper details add texture and personality to your tablescape, enhancing the overall aesthetic without ever feeling cluttered.

I am always drawn to stationery that reflects the wider design of the day - materials, textures, and tones that echo the atmosphere you want to create. That might be tactile handmade paper, romantic calligraphy, or lace-inspired details that nods to timeless elegance.

These are exactly the kinds of design decisions I guide you through when curating your wedding. Often it’s the smaller, easily overlooked details that, when layered with intention, create a reception that feels polished, cohesive and beautifully considered.

The first weeks of being engaged can feel like a whirlwind of excitement - full of excitement, questions, opinions and well‑meaning advice coming from every direction.

But before you dive into planning, here’s what I gently encourage my couples to do, both as a former bride and a planner:

1. Slow down and savour the moment. There’s no need to make decisions straight away or lock in a date. Let the moment settle and enjoy being newly engaged.

2. Hold your own vision close. You’ll hear plenty of thoughts from family, friends and social media - but your wedding doesn’t need to reflect anyone’s expectations but your own.

3. Begin gathering inspiration when it feels right. Start your Pinterest board at your own pace. Let this phase feel playful and intuitive, not trend‑led or pressured.

4. Create space for just the two of you. Celebrate together, escape for a weekend away or simply carve out quiet moments to enjoy this new chapter.

When I got engaged, it happened on the first night of a holiday just the two of us - and having that quiet bubble to celebrate together is something I’m still so grateful for. I encourage couples to gift themselves that same space for calm, connection and simply being in the moment.

There is so much joy in the early days of being engaged. Allow yourselves to enjoy it fully, before timelines and planning naturally begin to take shape.

The art of tablescape design lies in creating balance - blending structure with softness, colour with tone, elegance with personality.

For this design, created in collaboration with , the brief was understated luxury with a focus on warmth and depth. The venue’s timeless architecture set the tone, calling for florals that complemented rather than competed with it.

We chose a composition of deep reds and vibrant pinks, layered with sculptural stems and delicate details to echo the romance of the room. The result felt refined and intentional, exuding elegance while remaining beautifully in tune with the wider space.

It’s always a pleasure collaborating with creatives like . When every element - from florals to lighting to tableware - speaks the same design language, it truly brings the vision to life and elevates the entire atmosphere.

The art of noticing the small details

It’s the subtle, personal touches that elevate a space and linger in your memory. My role is to ensure those details are never overlooked. From the way your table is styled to how your stationery echoes the wider design, every element is chosen with care and intention.

A key part of crafting this atmosphere is curating the right creative team. I don’t work from fixed lists of suppliers just because they’re familiar. Instead, I personally recommend suppliers who I believe can truly understand and deliver your wedding vision.

This stage of planning is as much about trust as it is about design. With my eye for detail and a focus on cohesive storytelling, I make sure every choice contributes to a celebration that feels immersive, bespoke and unmistakably yours.

If you’re planning a 2026 wedding and want every element to feel considered, I’d love to hear more about your vision. Reach out via my website and let’s begin shaping something beautiful together.

What if your wedding cake was more than a dessert?

What if it became one of the most memorable moments of your celebration?

When thoughtfully planned, a cake cutting isn’t just another point in the timeline. It’s a chance to pause, to gather your guests and to celebrate together.

Consider how the design complements your tablescape and the wider aesthetic of the day. Choose a cake artist whose style and craftsmanship align with your vision. And time it so it flows naturally - enhancing the celebration rather than interrupting it.

There’s no rulebook here. It could be a quiet and intimate moment or a spectacular showstopper with fireworks and live music – whatever you prefer, I can help you bring your vision to life.
