Just a couple of weeks ago, we had the honour of capturing a beautiful fine art wedding at Southdowns Manor, nestled in the heart of West Sussex.

As a Sussex wedding photographer and videographer duo, we were delighted to be part of such an intimate and joyful celebration.

The day began with classic British unpredictability heavy morning rain had everyone expecting an indoor ceremony. But just 30 minutes before the start, the skies cleared. The couple made a spontaneous decision to move it outside, and were rewarded with golden sunshine streaming through the trees as they exchanged vows.

With around 50 of their closest friends and family, the atmosphere throughout the day felt warm, personal, and full of love. From emotional moments during the ceremony to relaxed laughter during portraits, it was a dream to document.

Their adorable little boy played the perfect page boy and stole the show. We loved capturing candid shots of the children playing in the garden these spontaneous moments truly bring a wedding album to life.

The evening flowed into heartfelt speeches, a romantic first dance, and a lively celebration full of warmth and joy.

But in true English countryside magic, the clouds parted just 30 minutes before the start. With quick coordination, the outdoor setup was in place and their fine art wedding ceremony unfolded under golden sunlight.

Though the weather didn’t allow for flight, it became a stunning prop for couple portraits with a scenic wheat field backdrop. We have provided wedding photography and videography service for an intimate and friendly bride and groom on their most exciting and happiest day witnessed by their children in Guildford, Southern England.

This wedding is one of our most enjoyable weddings we have served so far with very close, initmate family, relatives and friends of the bride and groom. We started our journey first taking groom's getting ready photos and videos. Their sweet little dog greeted us at the door. Sure he became the important character in our shots.

The groom is very good looking, photogenic and definitely know how to pose to us and it has made our work very easy. He said he used to be a model during his teenage years. No wonder!

After we arrived lovely bride's getting ready location, Holiday Inn Guildford hotel - very nice country side hotel with a peaceful environment. They had a special bridal suite room for the couple.

We had the joy of capturing both bridal and bridesmaids' moments at this beautiful wedding. One especially sweet detail was that one of the bridesmaids was the bride’s teenage daughter, such a heartfelt and touching addition to the day.

As always, one of the most emotional moments was when the bride’s father saw her in her wedding dress for the very first time. We love documenting this scene and always ensure we capture the most beautiful angles and raw emotions.

After wrapping up our work at the getting-ready location, we headed straight to the ceremony venue to prepare for the best camera positions. The ceremony took place at St Nicholas's Church in Guildford, a charming, old-style church with stunning medieval character.

Though the church is small, its interior is absolutely mesmerising especially the balcony area, where we positioned our tripod and video camera. One of us captured wide shots from the balcony, while the other moved discreetly around the church taking candid ceremony photos.

Following the traditional Christian ceremony, we moved outside for the joyful confetti toss and a big group shot in front of the church gate. The narrow pathway leading to the church made for a lovely and intimate backdrop for these photos.

The final location of the day was the Tongham Community Centre in Farnham, Surrey, which had a slightly different charm compared to more formal venues. As it’s an open public space, there were even people playing cricket on the nearby pitches when we arrived! The centre also features football and cricket fields, adding a relaxed and lively atmosphere.

At the reception, we captured romantic couple portraits, the cake cutting, and of course, the first dance and guests dancing. One of the highlights was filming guest messages for the newlyweds, especially the sweet words shared by their children. These heartfelt moments always add such a personal touch to the wedding video.

The day ended smoothly, with smiles all around. The next day, we sent a selection of teaser photos to the couple, and they were absolutely delighted. It was truly an honour to be part of their love story and to preserve these once in a lifetime moments.
