Sad news that Jeffrey Archer has died. I have worked with him at many charity events where he was a phenomenal auctioneer. He would even auction his gavel as the last lot! On one social occasion, as this photo suggests, I played cricket with him in Monte Carlo in the 1980’s and that’s another story, when we were guests of the Mail on Sunday.
