Scottish Album of the Year ‘26 Nominee 🙌🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Making my album “Neither Collar Nor Crown” took me all across Scotland - from studios in Aberdeen, filming along the coast in Pennan and Tarlair, grabbing a quick shot before a train to Dundee (that ended up doing miles better than any fancy drone footage we got, of course), performing across Glasgow with the 🐐 and visiting the pressing plant just outside Edinburgh to see the vinyl production. A couple years and some crashed hard drives later, that album is now a nominee for Scottish Album of the Year 2026 🏆

Big love to and for the recognition; it’s absolutely insane that a project of mine is listed alongside names like Biffy Clyro, Boards of Canada & more. Here’s some of the behind the scenes highlights 🎞️

Scottish Album of The Year 2026 Nominee 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🙌

Blown away that Neither Collar Nor Crown has made the longlist for this year’s SAY Award. Setting out to make this project I wanted to do my best to represent even a fraction of the incredible musical talent available in Scotland just now, as well as celebrate the founding fathers of the national hip hop scene - legends who were putting 10,000 hours in back before there was any infrastructure or industry support.

An album of this scope was a team effort, and I want to give a massive thanks to everyone involved:

Huge love to The SAY Award and Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA) for the recognition. Aberdeen to the 🌎, stand free xo
