We recommend minimising makeup, especially oily foundations, at bridal fittings. When summer temperatures increase, the risk of sweat and makeup marks becomes even greater.

We suggest:
• Dress conscientiously.
• Wear as little makeup as possible, including eye makeup.
• Wash your hands before the fitting to prevent sweat and dust marks.
• Freshen your armpits before the fitting to avoid sweat marks.
• Wear a face cover when getting dressed.

We are incredibly busy, and our bridal season is in full swing. Please ensure you book your bridal fitting in time so we can still accommodate you and have your dress ready for your wedding date.

We recommend booking your first bridal fitting 2-3 months before your wedding. If you aim to lose weight and want to leave your fitting until closer to your wedding day, ensure you book your fitting appointment so it’s at least in our diary. We can always reschedule.

Express alterations: Ensure you enquire in time, so we secure your alteration slot. Please note that for express alterations made within 6weeks of your wedding day, express charges will apply.

It’s not surprising that shortening your bridal gown can take up the majority of your alteration budget. Depending on the number of skirt layers and the type of finish, shortening a wedding dress can take between 2 and 15 hours.
