Buying a wedding dress at a sample sale is tempting and a great opportunity to purchase a bridal gown in excellent condition at a very reasonable price. Bridal stores offer a real bargain and want to sell their samples to make space for the next season.

Because sample dresses may not match your standard dress size, they often require more work. Therefore, bridal alterations can be more costly. Please ensure you set aside a realistic alteration budget.

Depending on the condition of your sample dress, we recommend dry cleaning it before your first bridal fitting to remove marks before we start. We repair any pulls and loose threads.

We recommend minimising makeup, especially oily foundations, at bridal fittings. When summer temperatures increase, the risk of sweat and makeup marks becomes even greater.

We suggest:
• Dress conscientiously.
• Wear as little makeup as possible, including eye makeup.
• Wash your hands before the fitting to prevent sweat and dust marks.
• Freshen your armpits before the fitting to avoid sweat marks.
• Wear a face cover when getting dressed.
