We’ve tried to intervene. We’ve tried suggesting other cocktails. Frankly, we’ve given up.

So, naturally, we’ve launched TWO Old Fashioneds on the new winter cocktail menu.

There’s the classic Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned… and then there’s our rather naughty Rum Old Fashioned.

Because apparently one Old Fashioned simply isn’t enough for Kaya.

And who are we to judge? We’re a pub, not the police. 🍸

The Autumn Nations are just ONE MONTH away, which means the leaves are falling, the nights are drawing in and suddenly everyone’s got very strong opinions about rugby. 🇬🇧

We’ll be showing all the action at the Duke’s Head — from the Rowing Club Bar to the main bar, plus the Wolsey Room for private group viewing.

Big screens. Cold pints. Riverside views. Order straight to your table.

Basically, all the ingredients for a very respectable afternoon that will almost certainly involve “just one more”.

The river’s looking moody. The evenings are getting chilly. And suddenly salad feels like a rather ridiculous idea. 🍷🍂

New menu incoming — and it’s bringing exactly the sort of food you want when there’s a nip in the air and you’ve decided you’re definitely having another glass of red.

Proper comfort. Our caramelised onion & dauphinoise potato pie with spinach sauce will be a favourite 😍

Come in from the riverside chill. Find a cosy corner. Order something delicious. Pour the red. Stay for pudding.

Because if autumn is going to turn up with cold evenings and dark skies, the least we can do is eat very well and make a night of it.
