I want to talk about the real reason a lot of wedding suppliers never enter. It is not time, and it is not money.
Somebody rang me a few weeks ago who had been meaning to enter for years and kept finding reasons not to. When we got to the bottom of it, the reason was not practical at all.
It is that putting yourself forward feels uncomfortable. Like you are claiming something. Like someone might think, who do they think they are.
So let me say this plainly. It takes courage and guts to enter something like this. You are sticking your neck out, and that is exactly why it is worth doing.
And here is what helped her. Take winning out of it completely. Get everything out of TWIA that is there to be had. The client feedback. The badge. The community. If you end up on a stage in November, that is the cherry on the cake.

Every wedding supplier who enters TWIA gets something back, whether they win, whether they make the shortlist, whether it's their first time entering; your Voter Feedback. Your clients score you out of ten across seven category-specific criteria, and they leave written comments. Real detail, from the people who actually experienced your business on the day. Here's what makes it different from a Google review. A review is passive. Someone taps five stars on their phone, adds a line, moves on. Voter feedback is active. Your clients are filling it in because they want to help you win an award, and they take it seriously. That produces a completely different quality of answer. Suppliers have told us the feedback report on its own was worth the entry fee. If you've ever wondered what your past couples really thought, this is how you find out.
