Over the last half term, our children have been busy creating beautiful autumn leaf art — using colourful cellophane paper to decorate leaf templates! 🍂This fun craft was inspired by the changing colours of the season — as the real leaves outside begin to turn golden, red, and orange, we’ve been celebrating the beauty of change and transformation through art. 🎨✨It’s been such a joy to see each child’s creativity shine as they captured the magic of fall in their own unique way. 🍁💛

Over the last half term, our young artists have been learning all about Pointillism — a fascinating painting technique that uses tiny dots of colour to create beautiful images when viewed from a distance. 🟢🔵🟡🔴The children worked so hard applying what they learned, experimenting with colour blending, patience, and creativity. 💡🖌️ The results were absolutely amazing — full of detail, colour, and expression!We’re so proud of their effort and talent 💕👏 — take a look at this short video showcasing their beautiful pointillism masterpieces! 🎥

Last half term was bursting with colour — literally! Our young artists dived into the amazing world of the colour wheel, learning how every shade we see around us is created. We explored primary colours, discovered secondary colours, and even mixed our way into gorgeous tertiary tones.But learning colour theory wasn’t just about looking at charts — oh no. We rolled up our sleeves and got messy (in the best possible way!). Using paint, watercolours, and creative tools, the children experimented with mixing colours to create light tints, deep shades, and smooth gradients. It was so exciting to watch their faces light up when a new colour appeared right under their brushes!Once we had our brilliant new colours, we put them to use in some super fun creative projects. The children designed beautiful patterns, striking abstract pieces, and carefully arranged colour sequences — each one showing off their unique ideas and imagination. The pictures below show just some of the incredible results!Throughout the term, we saw confidence grow, friendships form, and creativity bloom. Every session brought giggles, teamwork, and those magical “look what I made!” moments. 🌟We are incredibly proud of the effort, curiosity, and talent our young artists showed. 🎨💥 POP goes the creativity! 💥🎨

This week’s after-school fun was all about POP ART! Our young artists explored bold colors, comic book styles, and everyday objects turned into masterpieces—just like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein!

From “POW!” bubbles to bright portraits and funky patterns, each creation was full of personality and imagination. 🖌️✨

We finished off the session with a mini “gallery walk,” where each child shared their work with the group. It was inspiring to see how different their interpretations were—and how proud they were of their creations.

This week’s after-school art session turned into a sparkling showcase of creativity as the children explored the colorful world of bead jewelry making! With bowls full of vibrant beads in all shapes and sizes, the young artists had the chance to design and create their very own bracelets, necklaces, and keychains.From selecting their favorite colors to carefully threading the beads in unique patterns, each child showed patience, focus, and a wonderful sense of personal style. Some chose to spell out their names with lettered beads, while others crafted special pieces as gifts for family and friends.This hands-on activity not only helped the children develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, but it also encouraged imagination and decision-making. It was lovely to see their faces light up with pride as they wore or shared their handmade jewelry.Each creation was truly one of a kind—just like the children who made them!We can’t wait to see what beautiful crafts they’ll come up with next!

This weekend, we stepped into an enchanted forest to celebrate a very special little girl's birthday—her one and only wish? A whimsical elves and fairies party filled with magic, imagination, and a hands-on craft she could share with her friends.From the moment guests arrived, the garden was transformed into a woodland wonderland—twinkling fairy lights hanging from the trees, tiny toadstool seats nestled in the grass, and soft forest music playing in the background. Wings, flower crowns, pointy ears, and glitter galore turned each child into a creature of the forest.But the real magic happened during our special craft time: decorating personalized fairy lanterns. Each guest received a mini lantern and a tray full of treasures—glittering gems, pressed flowers, glow-in-the-dark stickers, twine, lace, and tiny charms. With little brushes, a sprinkle of imagination, and lots of laughter, the children brought their lanterns to life. Some created lanterns for their favorite fairy friends, while others made homes for their imaginary elf guardians.By the end of the activity, the lanterns glowed with color, creativity, and a little birthday magic. When the sun set, we lit each lantern and watched as the garden twinkled—just like the enchanted forest our birthday girl dreamed of.It was a celebration filled with creativity, friendship, and fairy dust. And most of all, it was a perfect reminder that childhood is the most magical time of all.Happy Birthday to our sweet fairy queen—thank you for sharing your magical world with us!
