A few moments from earlier this year.

It’s been one of those weeks that reminds me why I love this job.

On Tuesday, I was watching one couple celebrate the start of married life. This weekend, I’ll be helping another do exactly the same.

Between supplier calls, timelines, coffee runs, site visits and last-minute problem solving, wedding season is very much in full swing.

And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

If you’re currently planning your wedding, what’s the one thing you’re finding most exciting (or most stressful) right now?

For planners who are ready to move beyond the theory.

Marquee weddings look effortless when they’re done well — but behind the scenes, they ask for a very particular kind of thinking.

The order of decisions matters.
The supplier flow matters.
The access plan matters.
The weather plan matters.
The way a table is dressed, steamed, aligned and checked matters.

One small decision made early by a supplier can shape ten later decisions on-site.

This is exactly what we’ll be exploring inside the Event Planning Workshop at The Marquee Edition — a live marquee environment at Fulham Palace, designed to show you how these weddings are actually built, managed and refined in real time.

I’ll be sharing the way I approach:
– reading a space
– supplier coordination
– build schedules
– styling checks
– linen and table handling
– the details that often get missed
– what I keep in my kit bag
– and the small decisions that quietly shape the whole guest experience

This is not a theory-led session.
It’s a look inside my process, my standards, and the way I think through a wedding from setup to guest arrival.

If you’re a planner wanting to level up, grow your confidence on-site, or understand marquee weddings with more clarity — I’d love to welcome you.

I think the best wedding films feel less like content and more like memory.

This one already does.

When passion meets precision, you turn love stories into careers. Welcome to my office!

Obsessed with the details you didn’t even know mattered.
This is where the magic feels effortless.

You are not alone.

A wedding in Italy sounds beautifully simple at first: the long table, the warm evening light, the pasta, the wine, the villa, the views.

But once you start planning, you quickly realise it is not just “a wedding abroad”.

It is guest travel.
Airport transfers.
Accommodation blocks.
Welcome drinks.
Supplier sourcing.
Timings across multiple days.
Language barriers.
Legal requirements.
Back-up weather plans.
Late-night transport.
And making sure your guests feel looked after from the moment they arrive.

My advice? Don’t start with the flowers, the dress code or the Pinterest board.

Start with the guest experience.

Ask yourself:

How are people getting there?
Where are they staying?
What happens the night before?
How do they get home safely after the wedding?
What moments will make the whole trip feel considered, not chaotic?

A beautiful Italian wedding is not just about the setting. It is about the structure behind it.

That is where thoughtful planning makes all the difference.

Save this if an Italian wedding is on your mind — and tell me, would you choose Tuscany, Lake Como, Puglia or Sicily?

The Cope & Brown Lounge.

Created for Danielle & Sam’s wedding at Old Sessions House earlier this year, this became one of my favourite spaces of the entire celebration.

Hidden behind a curtain during the reception, guests had no idea what was waiting on the other side. Later in the evening, the space was revealed, unveiling the dance floor, lounge and Speakeasy Bar all at once. It completely shifted the energy of the night and felt like stepping into another world.

Layered with furniture from House of Furn, red velvet drapes and suspended family portraits, the space felt deeply personal whilst still holding that sense of occasion and atmosphere.

Danielle & Sam wanted to honour family members who were no longer here to celebrate with them, but in a way that felt intentional and beautifully integrated into the design, not simply a table of photo frames tucked away in the corner. So instead, their portraits became part of the lounge itself. Quietly present within the storytelling of the evening.

One of those spaces that felt emotional, cinematic and incredibly fun all at once.

The glamorous side of wedding planning: spending 20 minutes on your knees with a piece of orange string making sure every menu is perfectly aligned.

And honestly? Worth it every time.

It’s the tiny details guests never consciously notice that make an event feel calm, polished, and intentional.

What’s one oddly specific thing you always keep in your work bag?

i find this easier than sending emails

there are about 47 things happening in this moment that no one will ever notice
(and that’s kind of the point)

moving chairs by half an inch
checking sightlines
reworking spacing so it feels right, not just looks right

this is the part of the job people don’t see
but it’s the reason everything else flows

no chaos, no confusion, no awkward gaps
just a room that makes sense the second guests walk in

Things they don’t tell you about being a wedding planner…
Sometimes your job isn’t timelines or logistics... it’s stepping onto the dance floor first.

When nerves kick in and the moment feels bigger than expected, my team and I jump in so our couples never feel alone. One step turns into many, and suddenly the dance floor belongs to everyone.

That’s the real work. 🤍

Quiet moments like this — captured so beautifully by — are often the ones that mean the most. 🤍
