The Rounds is back at H.O.M.E on Wednesday 23rd September, where six music tech companies will be stepping into the rounds.

Each will spend time with small groups of music industry professionals throughout the evening, trading a formal pitch for genuine conversation and direct feedback. It’s the kind of evening that only works when the people building the tools and the people using them are in the same room.

Meet the companies joining us this edition.

Gignite : Turning tour planning from guesswork into something you can actually plan around.

Hootenanny : A free toolkit built to help artists find their fans and get paid for it.

Khaos: AI trained on your own catalogue, on your own hardware, owned by you.
Chris Green

Music Intel : Making sense of the rights and royalty data most teams are drowning in.

Tickets For Good : Empty seats going to the people who spend their careers giving back.

Tracksmoney.music : Financial admin off your plate, built by people who actually understand music accounting.

On Tuesday, we were delighted to welcome the relaunch of FemTUK at H.O.M.E, an evening bringing together female founders in music tech to talk honestly about building a business from the ground up. With only 12.4% of UK music tech companies female led, there is still a lot of work to do to empower and support more women to find the confidence to found their own project, and that is what FemTUK is here to change.

FemTUK’s new Chair Sarah Jones hosted a panel with Hazel Savage, Rachel Beach and Cathy Long, digging into the theme From Side Hustle to Startup: what it actually takes to go from an idea to a company that stands on its own.

The panel got into the practical stuff in depth, and we got to hear each panellist’s challenges building their own companies, from landing a first customer to knowing the right timing to raise funding, and what they learned from it. The kind of night where you leave with a few new contacts and a clearer sense of what to do next.

Thanks to Sarah, Hazel, Rachel and Cathy for such an insightful conversation, and to FemTUK and MTUK for choosing H.O.M.E to host the relaunch.

If you’re interested in music tech and what FemTUK stands for, follow our page to hear about future events.

FemTUK has relaunched, and next week we are hosting an evening to celebrate it: From Side Hustle to Startup.

Only 12.4% of UK music tech companies are female-led. That is the number FemTUK exists to change, and this evening is where that work begins.

From Side Hustle to Startup brings together founders, operators and aspiring entrepreneurs for an honest conversation about the earliest stage of the founder journey. The evening will be hosted by Sarah Jones, freshly appointed as FemTUK Chair and formerly General Manager at Songkick and Head of Global Business Development at the BBC.

Open to all our whole community and everyone across the wider industry.

You might have noticed something new at H.O.M.E lately.

We were introduced to doolab. through MTUK and London & Partners, who offered us the chance to display one of their Soundripple Lambda units in Lee’s lounge. After speaking with their team we quickly found a lot of common ground: great audio, thoughtful product design and a genuine care for technology innovation, and a partnership felt natural.

The Soundripple Lambda delivers serious sound while looking like a piece of considered furniture, and its Bluetooth connectivity makes the technology disappear into the design. A few weeks in and we have loved how it has settled into our members’ lounge as though it was always meant to be there.

If you are based with us or passing through, it is well worth taking a moment to experience it for yourself. You will find the doolab. team’s contact details in our bio for anyone curious to find out more about the range.

🌈 This Pride, we’re fundraising for London Friend!
We’re so proud to be supporting London Friend this June, the UK’s oldest LGBTQ+ charity, founded in 1972 and still going strong.
Today, more than ever, the LGBTQ+ community faces increasingly difficult challenges, from rising hostility to the erosion of hard-won rights. Supporting organisations like London Friend means investing directly in the people and services that hold the community together when it matters most.
London Friend supports the health and mental wellbeing of the LGBTQ+ community in and around London, through counselling, social groups, and specialist services. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be shining a light on the incredible work they do.
