“From probation officer… to CEO.”
There was a time in my life where I had a very stable job.
A proper job. A “your family is proud of you” job.
I was a probation officer.
Structured. Professional. Responsible.
Helping people make better life choices…
…while I was going home every day like,
“Lord, what am I doing with my life?” 😭
Because deep down, I knew—I wasn’t meant to just supervise people…
…I was meant to season chicken.
And not small seasoning.
I’m talking CEO-level seasoning. 😌
But fear? Oh, fear was loud.
“Stay where the money is.”
“Be sensible.”
“Business? In this economy??”
Even my bank account was whispering,
“Let’s not get excited.” 💀
And don’t even talk about self-doubt…
I’d be in the kitchen cooking, tasting my food like:
“Wow… this is amazing.”
Then 2 minutes later:
“Is it though?” 🤨
The confusion was real.
But one day it hit me—
I was out here encouraging people to change their lives…
…and I couldn’t even resign from a job I complained about every Monday morning.
Make it make sense.
So I did it.
I handed in my resignation letter with confidence on the outside…
…and pure panic on the inside.
My spirit said, “Walk in purpose.”
My legs said, “Run back and collect your payslip.” 🏃‍♀️💨
But I didn’t turn back.
I went home… stood in my kitchen… looked at my pots…
…and said,
“Alright CEO… don’t burn this opportunity.” 😭
And that’s how it started.
No big plan.
No business degree.
Just faith… vibes… and well-seasoned chicken.
