Els Bistro & Café has recently signed up to Hackney’s Healthier Catering Commitment, a scheme supporting food businesses to make healthier changes to the food they serve.

The café serves Mediterranean-inspired brunches, breakfast and desserts, with space to catch up with friends, work over a coffee or bring your dog along. 🫶

Our Black History Season programme kicked off with a day of special guest talks and lectures, plus the unveiling of a plaque commemorating CLR James at Dalston CLR James Library.

✍🏽Calling all young artists, here’s your chance to work with and be inspired by the exciting and established artist and illustrator Olivia Twist! 

👩🏽‍🎨 This week sees the start of her Windrush Amplified Art Grant project where items from the Hackney Archives Windrush collections will inform a brand new artwork to be  publicly revealed in October. Want to be part of the process and make history...literally!?

📍Come to Hackney Archives E8 3BQ Tuesday 28 July 4pm - 6pm. Open to ages 13-18.
