❤️ A LITTLE MESSAGE FROM THE SUMMERFEST TEAM BEFORE WE GET STARTED… ❤️
Summerfest is a charity event, organised by volunteers, with two very simple aims: to bring our community together for an amazing weekend and to raise as much money as we possibly can for brilliant causes.
Every penny we’ve received from ticket sales has gone straight back into putting this festival on. Stages, artists, security, toilets, generators, entertainment, infrastructure… the list is enormous and our costs are double what they were last year. We have worked hard to make it a special event again.
We deliberately keep our ticket prices around a quarter of what you might expect to pay for a comparable festival, because we want Summerfest to be something families and our community can afford to enjoy.
So, if you’ve saved a few quid on your ticket, we’d love you to help us turn some of that saving into something really positive ❤️
Buy drinks from the bar.
Every drink you buy helps us raise money for the good causes we support.
Chuck something in our donation buckets when they come around.
A fiver, a tenner… whatever you’re comfortable with. It all adds up. And if you don’t have cash, our collectors can take card donations too.
And please look after the wonderful people helping to make all of this happen.
Our stewards and bar staff are all volunteers. They’re giving up their Bank Holiday weekend to help us put on Summerfest and raise money for others. Be patient with them, be kind to them and if you have the chance, buy them a drink. You’ll make their day and you’ll be supporting our charities at the same time.
Nobody organising Summerfest is doing this to make money for themselves.
We do it because we love seeing this field full of people. We love bringing our community together. And most importantly, we love being able to turn one brilliant weekend into something that helps people who really need it.
So please…
BE KIND.
BE GENEROUS.
HAVE LOTS OF FUN. ❤️
