Someone had to say it. Half the “red flags” you keep catching are just... human. 🤍
We have never been pickier. And we have never been lonelier. Somewhere along the way, knowing your worth turned into rejecting good people over things that were never actually problems.
“He was nervous on the first call.” He cared. Confidence can be faked. Nerves are often just sincerity that hasn’t relaxed yet.
“She asked about my salary.” She’s being asked to build a life with you. Wanting stability isn’t shallow. It’s responsible.
“He still lives with his parents.” In our deen, caring for your parents is honoured. Sometimes it’s loyalty and saving, not a lack of ambition.
“She’s been single a long time.” Maybe she refused to settle. A long wait often means higher standards, not hidden problems.
“They didn’t text back straight away.” A serious adult has a job, a family, a life. That’s not disinterest. That’s a functioning human being.
Here is the line that actually matters. Real red flags are about character. Dishonesty. Cruelty. Disrespect. THOSE are red flags. A nervous laugh or a slow reply are not.
You don’t need someone perfect. You need someone good, honest, and willing to grow with you. If we keep rejecting humans for being human, we’ll stay alone chasing a person who was never real.
