Such a special night getting to watch the film on the big screen with so many of our amazing cast and crew — and alongside a program of talented filmmakers.

Grateful for the warm welcome, the conversations, and the genuinely supportive film community here in LA.

At the LA screening of Sound of a Dream, someone asked if I'd be DJing more now that the film was finished.

Turns out the answer is, yes.

This Friday I'll be playing along with Massio, Lushbunny, and Angela Lima at the Baja Cantina MDR.

Starting in my own backyard and looking for those community vibes. Let's make it a proper one.

🎥 Poster reveal for my new short film, The Last Mullet. 🎥

In 2010, the mullet was officially banned in Iran. For real.

Inspired by true events and starring Bobby Naderi , the film follows Shervin — a spirited Iranian man whose signature mullet makes him an outlaw.

The Last Mullet has been selected by LA Shorts International Film Festival this summer.

As an Iranian-American, this one is personal. More soon.

Written and Directed by Hoj Jomehri
Starring Bobby Naderi
With Ali Saam and Shabnam Tolouei
Produced by Taraneh Golozar, Cameron Angeli, Edan Chaim
Cinematography by Daniel Satinoff

Some photos from another sold out premiere of Sound of a Dream — this time in LA.

Still processing what these last few weeks have meant. Sharing my first feature film with packed rooms on both coasts, surrounded by friends, collaborators, and the community that inspired it, has been incredibly special.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the film at Doc’n Roll Film Festival. These screenings were something I’ll never forget.
