Outtakes from our book ‘Naturalistic Flowers: A Year of Plants, Places and People’. We’re looking forward to being back in the Plant Library and Apple House The Serge Hill Project on Thursday for a collaborative garden to vase workshop, exploring how to evoke a sense of place through flowers using seasonal ingredients that capture the atmosphere of this most enchanting time of the year.

Today was our last studio class of 2026. It’s a bittersweet moment when the season draws to a close, we’ll miss the buzz of greeting new faces, watching the beauty of creation happening around us, the privilege of introducing people to plants, the exclamations of joy, the exchange of ideas, tips and stories.

But we are a strictly seasonal flower school, and in a short time the garden will begin to enter its annual period of rest until spring.

THANK YOU to each and every person who made this flower school year what it was - to all our students, for travelling to London and putting your trust in us, to everyone who has worked alongside us teaching, planting, harvesting, sweeping and scrubbing.

And of course to the flowers, for continuing to surprise, delight and enthral us with your strength and beauty, every single day.

All our 2027 flower school dates from April to October are now live on the website and booking is open.

“We believe in prioritising a dynamic creative process over the end product. Spirit over style. It is the active creation of an arrangement that provides the opportunity for self expression, a way to evoke emotion and ideas, inner thoughts and beliefs.”
