There is something truly special about the love of a mother.

A mother’s love is patient, strong, nurturing and unwavering. The encourager behind our dreams, the one who celebrates our victories, comforts us in difficult moments, and shares wisdom that are reminders for us on this journey of life.

My mother has been the greatest influence in my life. Through her example, I learned the importance of resilience, faith and strength. The lessons mum has shared continue to guide me not only in my personal life, but also in the way I serve and support my friends, family, loved ones, the couples and families I work with.

On wedding days, it’s lovely to witness the beautiful bond between mothers and their children. The pride in their eyes, the emotional hugs, and the quiet moments before a new chapter begins.

Today I celebrate my mother, and all the incredible mothers and mother figures whose love shapes our lives in ways words cannot fully capture.

What is one piece of advice your mum has given you that you’ll never forget?

“Behind every beautiful celebration are remarkable women.”

Today we celebrate the strength, grace, and resilience of women everywhere.

As a wedding and event planner, I have the privilege of witnessing some of the most beautiful expressions of female support and love. From mothers helping their daughters prepare for a new chapter, to bridesmaids standing proudly beside their friends, to the talented women behind the scenes bringing celebrations to life.

So many weddings are made special because of the incredible women who uplift, encourage, and walk alongside each other through life’s most meaningful moments.

Today I celebrate the brides, the mothers, the sisters, the aunts, the godmothers, the friends, and the remarkable women in this industry who pour their creativity, care, and passion into what they do.

May we continue to support one another, inspire one another, and celebrate every milestone.

Happy International Women’s Day!

Write the Vision, Make it Clear!

If you said, “yes” this Valentine’s season, congratulations 🥂

This is such a beautiful chapter.
The ring. The excitement. The phone calls to family & friends.
The quiet moments where it all starts to feel real.

Enjoy, enjoy & enjoy!

Then comes the question…
Where do we even begin?

Wedding planning can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re balancing a busy professional life alongside it. Venues to research, budgets to consider, guest lists to draft & suppliers to secure.
Before you dive into Pinterest boards & spreadsheets, pause.

One of the most helpful things you can do at the beginning of your planning journey is to write your wedding vision.

I recommend buying a notebook that you will use solely for your wedding planning. Somewhere to organise thoughts, ideas & decisions.

Then begin with these questions:

•            How do you envision your wedding day?
•           Write down 3 non-negotiables each for your day.
•           Would you prefer to get married in the UK, have a destination wedding or elope?
•           What season would you like to get married in? Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter?
•           When would you like to get married? In 6 months, 1 year or 2 years.
•           How do you want your wedding day to feel?
•           What kind of guest experience or atmosphere do you want to create that reflects your love story?
•           How many guests would you like to invite? When you decide on a figure divide it by two, so you both have an equal number of invites unless one of you has a smaller family or friends circle than the other.
•           Do you have savings? Will you have to save? How much will you need to save each month? Will your parents contribute?
•           Have you attended a wedding you absolutely loved? What made it special?
•           Have you attended a wedding you didn’t enjoy? Why did you feel that way?

These questions help you move from excitement to clarity & clarity makes every decision easier.

Enjoy your joyous engagement season. When you’re ready to begin planning, let’s have a chat.

A Love Story Worth Celebrating

Every wedding begins with a love story. Not just the proposal, the ring, or the big “yes”, but the quiet moments before that. The conversations. The shared laughter. The growth. The choosing of one another, again and again.

A journey that has been built on friendship, trust and unwavering support. The kind of love that feels steady, safe and full of joy.

A wedding day will not simply be a celebration, it will be a reflection of everything you have started to build together. Your values, your cultures, your families, your style and your future.

It is always such a privilege to witness two people promise forever in front of those who have shaped their story. To see the way they look at each other. To feel the energy in the room when love is at the centre of it all.

I love to plan and coordinate wedding days where couples can be fully present, knowing every detail is taken care of, so they can focus on what truly matters. Love, laughter and creating memories yet to be written.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

From a DM to a Day Full of Love ***5 Star Google Review ***

I am thrilled to share this wonderful testimonial from my clients, Daniel and Hannah (Dannah). It is truly rewarding hearing from couples after their wedding day when they share how they felt supported and cared for throughout working with me and my team. Thank you again for your kind words and trusting me with your day.

D+H initially reached out to me with a DM on Instagram and from that moment, their wedding journey began.
One of the things I’ll always remember about their consultation is that it was the first time I did one with all the immediate family present on the video call. Their bond as a family is absolutely beautiful to observe. They were full of excitement, laughter, and shared love for what was to come.

Their wedding day was a true celebration of connection and culture. With guests representing 21 nationalities, it was a beautiful reminder of how love brings people together from all corners of the world.

Thank you again to the vendors, Jennifer and Yomi for being part of my coordination team on the day.

It’s moments like these that make me so grateful to do what I do supporting couples with a calm, warm, professional and detailed approach, so they can be fully present and enjoy every second of their day.

If you’re planning a wedding that celebrates different cultures and traditions, I’d be honoured to support you on your journey.

Send me a DM and let’s chat.

Wishing you a wonderful week.

Should I Consider Wedding Insurance? As you start planning your wedding, wedding insurance might not be one of the first...

Should I Consider Wedding Insurance?

As you start planning your wedding, wedding insurance might not be one of the first things on your mind and that’s completely understandable.

Planning a wedding is exciting, emotional, and a significant financial investment. With so many elements, unexpected things can (and sometimes do) happen.

Wedding insurance is designed to protect your investment and give you peace of mind as you prepare to say, “I do.”

It’s more affordable than you may think. It typically costs a small fraction of your total wedding budget, starting from around £50, depending on your level of cover. As with any insurance policy, it’s important to carefully review the terms and conditions to ensure you’re choosing the right level of protection for your plans.

Public Liability Insurance
Some venues require couples to have Public Liability Insurance, which protects against accidental damage to the venue’s property or injury to a third party during your wedding. If you are planning on getting married at a listed venue, wedding insurance is usually required, and they will advise the amount you will need to be covered for in regard to their venue.

I recommend couples explore their options and select a policy that aligns with their needs. In the UK Wedding and Event Planners are unable to advise on which company or specific policy to choose.

If you decide to purchase wedding insurance, I would encourage you to consider cover early on in your planning process before paying deposits to vendors/suppliers to confirm products or services.

God forbid your chosen wedding venue went into administration would you be covered?

Last year I had to claim on my travel insurance for the first time. I’ve been buying travel insurance for over 20 years and never needed to claim until then. I was grateful that I continued to purchase my insurance even though I’ve never needed to claim in the past.

Will you buy wedding insurance?
It’s one of those things you hope you never need, but you’ll be so thankful you have it if you do.

Save this post for yourself or send to a friend or family member who’s getting married.

Wishing you a fabulous day.

To Toss or Not to Toss!
The Wedding Bouquet Toss Tradition.

Ever wondered why brides toss the bouquet at weddings?

This playful tradition dates back to the 14-16th century in England, where guests believed grabbing a piece of the bride’s dress or flowers would bring them good luck and love.

To escape the eager guests, brides began tossing their bouquet as a distraction and the tradition stuck. As they say, the rest is history!

These days, the bouquet toss is a fun, light-hearted moment that usually celebrates your single female friends.

Whether you keep it traditional or playful, the bouquet toss is a nice way to include fun and laughter to your wedding day.

Some brides like to keep their bouquet as a keepsake. If this is something you would like to do, you can ask your florist to create another bouquet that you can toss.

If you choose to include the bouquet toss in your wedding day schedule. I would suggest picking a song that resonates with you, something upbeat that will create a great vibe for your family and friends, which will make the moment fun and memorable.

When working with couples I always suggest that they pick elements for their day that is unique to them as this enhances their guest’s experience.

If you don’t fancy tradition by tossing your bouquet there are some alternatives, which I will share in my next post. Lovely bride Justine pictured in today’s post chose to honour and gift her bouquet to her mum, which was a beautiful heartfelt moment.

Are you planning on including a bouquet toss at your wedding?

If you are already married, did you include the bouquet toss at your wedding? If yes, what song did you choose? If no, why not?

Let me know in the comments.

Have a lovely day and weekend.

When Dreams Come True
Over 24,000 steps, countless smiles and one unforgettable celebration!
At Hannah & Nev’s wedding in July, I clocked over 24,000 steps coordinating their day and making sure every detail was just right.

From the moment guests arrived, the day was carefully woven with meaning. Welcome drinks were served whilst guests enjoyed the vibrant melodies of the bagpipes. The ceremony featured heartfelt readings including 2 written individually by the bride and groom honouring their love story, cultures, family, loved ones in heaven, and their pets.

During the drink’s reception, guests enjoyed canapés to the sweet sound of steel pan, laughed over lawn games, and solved a personalised crossword about the couple.

Each guest received a handwritten note. One guest shared that it was a beautiful moment, as she sat at her table and all the guests individually read their notes in silence and smiled.

This is a reminder that the smallest touches can leave the greatest impact. Give people their flowers while they’re here because those words might be the ones that stay with them forever.

The wedding breakfast flowed into a culinary journey with a 3 course a la carte meal of British modern cuisine followed by a Caribbean buffet in the evening, and the dance floor came alive with nonstop music from the DJ with intervals from a live band.

It was a joy to execute this wedding from setup to final farewells. The memories priceless.

Guest experience is about making people feel seen, valued, and part of your story.

Teamwork made this day seamless. Thank you again to the vendors and , .uk and for being part of my coordination team on the day.

If you’re looking for a planner or coordinator who ensures no detail is missed while you and your guests fully enjoy the day, let’s have a chat.

Here’s to love, laughter, and making dreams come true. 🥂

Wishing you a wonderful October! If you have the opportunity to tell someone how they’ve blessed your life, do it. You may warm someone’s heart.
