We’re thrilled to announce that the Paul Cook Blues Band will be joining us at The School Kitchen on Friday 7th November for a night of top class blues and good company.

Led by guitarist and vocalist Paul Cook, the band bring a powerful mix of Chicago and British blues, with soulful vocals, blistering guitar and a rhythm section that grooves from the first note to the last. We’ve just heard that Chris Dreja has passed away.

Chris was a member of the Yardbirds, one of our house bands, and a big part of our history. As part of the band he was there in our heyday, inspiring audiences, working with future legends and driving audiences wild. Without him modern music wouldn’t be the way it is.

The Crawdaddy Club has lived many lives but the heartbeat has always been the same. Back in 1963 it was where the Rolling Stones made their name, followed by the Yardbirds with Clapton, Beck and Page all taking their turn. Soon after came artists like Sonny Boy Williamson, John Mayall, the Moody Blues and even the early Pink Floyd.

Decades later Mike and Sylvie Rivers revived the club, bringing that same energy back to Richmond and making sure the Crawdaddy remained a place for brilliant live music. Today we are still carrying that legacy forward with a mix of established names and rising stars who are building the next chapter.
