The amfAR Cannes Gala requires up to nine months of meticulous planning, and this year’s theme transported us to Japan — a place where harmony, heritage, and simplicity are not just aesthetic principles, but philosophies for living. Inspired by Japanese design values like Kanso (the art of decluttering) encourages us to let go of excess and create space for balance. Floating lanterns, a poignant symbol of release and renewal, guided the visual story throughout the space.
