Something fascinating is happening at the cinema.

Streaming was supposed to be the death of the cinema.
And for a while, it was.

We all adopted the new norm.

Cinema on demand.
Pause it. Rewind it. Watch it tomorrow.

But then something interesting happened this summer.

The US box office had its best summer in 13 years.

And we don’t think it’s got anything to do with the films.

People are choosing to leave the sofa for something technology, comfort and convenience can’t replicate.

What happens when we’re in the room together.

There’s a lesson here for business.

We will still gather.
But in 2027, it has to be worth it.

There’s one little moment at an event that always makes us smile.

We spend months crafting an event, thinking of all the little details and touches.

And the one person we have in mind from start to finish is the guest.

It’s very easy to get side-tracked with your own ideas, preferences, or shiny add-ons, and forget about the reason you’re hosting the event in the first place.

We always use our client’s ‘why’ as the North Star, and make every decision based on how we want people to feel in the moment.

So when someone whips out their phone to take a snap, we can’t help but smile.

Our job is done.

How many people can say they’ve had their art on the walls of the Tate Modern?

When we designed Vitality’s “Changing Perspectives” leadership conference, photography was our golden thread.

We had the perfect plan.

A masterclass with photographer Jon Cartwright.

Guests would put what they’d learnt into practice.

We’d surprise them with their photos on the walls of the Tate.

Simple.

Except the Tate said no. And a very firm no at that.

Because, quite reasonably, people wait their whole lives to have their work displayed on those walls.

We could’ve given up then and there. But that’s not our style.

Instead, we listened, we pivoted, and we came back with a compromise.

We’d create a temporary exhibition.

We got the green light, and secured the once-in-a-lifetime, wow-factor moment for the client.

Just because it hasn’t been done before, doesn’t mean it’s impossible.

We’re a bit spoiled in London when it comes to venues.

So when we discover a new hotel in the city that gets us excited, we know we’re onto something special.

Especially when it comes with one of the best dirty martinis Lisa’s ever had.

And no, it’s not full of clothes, toiletries, and pyjamas.
