Portamento Musician/Producer/DJ Portamento is a London based Producer & DJ who makes shimmering and downbeat House music.

Initially intended as a project to perform remixes for friends and Artists, Portamento has collaborated with a number of vocalists bringing a song like structure to the Dance music genre, utilising modern recording techniques alongside the use of analogue Drum Machines and Synths. Portamento has been described as a combination of ‘Lush reverb soaked vocals, juxtaposed with dirty and at times blip-based House beats, with a foot in Indie as much as electronic music’. In April 2017 Portamento achieved a top10 hit on the Beatport House charts with his first release ‘Neon Lover’ (Feat. HANNIE) on Coldwave records, achieving a top10 hit on the Beatport House charts.

Got quite a lot of music coming out over the summer, starting off with a 2 track EP called “Good For Each Other”. 2 Deep/Soulful tracks from the Ableton vault. Like many producers out there I have tons of unreleased tracks sitting around on hard drives, that I often feel disconnected from pretty much immediately after I’ve made them, partly due to the fact that the making of the music is the most enjoyable part for me nowadays, and the infinite content machine isn’t really anything I feel especially enamoured by . So, I’m trying to make sense of these tracks and put them out over the summer and not overthink it. So 3rd July is the first couple of tracks, followed by a couple more each month for the year. Visualisers where made using called VideoSync which is a Max For Live suite of plugins that integrate nicely within Ableton.
