There’s something endlessly captivating about a bunch of carnations. With their soft, ruffled textures, vintage colorways, and incredible vase-life, they are a truly underrated stem!

Set them in a simple vessel, let them catch the afternoon autumn light, and watch them quietly transform a room.

Often overlooked, these carnations are overdue a serious revival. With unique, deep purple varieties like these, it’s not hard to see why.

Did you know? In Victorian floriography (the language of flowers), purple carnations actually symbolise creativity and spontaneity.

💡Quick Tip: If yours arrive a little tight and closed, gently tease the petals open with your thumbs to help them fluff out into full, velvety perfection.

Are you ready to give carnations the comeback they deserve? Let us know in the comments!

FLOWER SCHOOL 🔔 The Art of Knowing When to Stop ✂️

Want your stems to look like they were arranged by a pro every single time? Freddie’s breaking down the 4 golden steps to building a balanced, effortless-looking arrangement at home.

🌺Visualise the shape: Picture your arrangement’s outline before placing your first stem.
🌺Create a stem grid: Cross your initial stems inside the vase to build a natural web that supports the rest of your stems.
🌺Vary the stem heights: Stagger your cut lengths so every flower has room to breathe and shine.
🌺Balance your elements: Blend your focal showstoppers, delicate fillers, and textured foliage—and remember, knowing when to step back is half the art!

Save this reel for your next delivery day, and follow along for more flower tips.
