A familiar group reunited around the table this time last week.
 
We had the pleasure of welcoming Benoit Blin, Cherish Finden , Liam Charles of Bake Off: The Professionals to The Stafford London for afternoon tea.
 
For our pastry team, the occasion brought back memories of an incredible journey — from the first bake to the final, where they finished as runners-up.
 
From building a floating Tiki bar to creating an elaborate Masquerade Ball for the final, the journey brought no shortage of ambitious challenges, creativity and pressure. A lovely opportunity to come together once again and look back on an experience the team will always remember.

From Portuguese sparkling and still wines to exceptional Ports, each has been selected to accompany a menu by MICHELIN-starred chef Michael Caines and his team, featuring Orkney scallops, roast sea bass, grouse and more.

From Friday 14th August, we’re delighted to launch our new Mini Royals Afternoon Tea – a memorable experience for younger guests, complete with a royal invitation, crown or tiara, a cuddly corgi to take home, and an afternoon tea created especially for children.
 
While the little ones enjoy their royal feast, grown-ups can relax with our Award of Excellence Afternoon Tea, created by our Bake Off: The Professionals finalists.

To mark the occasion, we’ve introduced our five-course Discovery Menu, launching on 17th July at £95, showcasing a seasonal journey through the very best of British produce, responsibly sourced from trusted farmers, fishermen and artisan producers. Reflecting Michael’s commitment to sustainability, provenance and exceptional flavour, it offers the perfect introduction to one of London’s newest MICHELIN-starred dining experiences.

Today, we celebrate the special relationship between The Stafford London and our American guests.

For decades, many have left behind a small memento of their visit to The American Bar. From baseball caps and college pennants to ties, flags and sporting memorabilia, each gift has become part of our history and a reminder of the friendships we’ve built over the years.
