As many of you Flower Friends will know, it was whilst spending time at a Flower Show aged 7 I discover the spark of joy, inspired by flowers and horticulture. Ever since then all I wanted was to work with flowers and some decades later - I still do!! I am the LUCKIEST florist!
On Saturday 6th June, from 10.00-18.00 within Windsor Great Park, a wonderful One Day Flower Show takes place annually as it has for over 118 years! Truly quintessentially British it features a Competitions Marquee, some incredible Plant Nurseries and Exhibitors, yummy food, fab entertainment and a host of talks and demonstrations - including Yours Truly! I will be creating some Floral Fabulousness at 11am in case you wanted to know!!
Tickets are available via the website http://rwrhs.com/
I hope to see some of you there - do come and say hello as I do enjoy meeting you my Flower Friends!

This is the magnificent, truly talented - an incredible garden designer, writer and presenter. And, one of the kindest, most genuine and empathetic people I am fortunate to know.
She designed the beautiful, thought provoking Show Garden.
Even after having spent weeks creating, and surviving the emotions of her garden being judged, she found time to come and chat with me about the RHS Floristry Ambassador’s Choice Award - this year awarded to

Today I had the honour and privilege of spending time within the thought-provoking, inspiring and carefully curated 2026 Show Garden - A Garden for Every Parkinson’s Journey -
designed by the most amazing human
2 years of planning and design shows in every detail. The palette gradually shifts from greys and greens to lilac and lavender tones with pops of stronger cerise and deeper purple shades. Pale ivory and lemon, with soft citrus greens create an area of sanctuary during hours of darkness, as insomnia and sleep disruption are two major characteristics of Parkinson’s. Episodes of “freezing” when the body can feel anchored and immobile are also characteristic of Parkinson’s. Such episodes can be relieved and reduced by a change of rhythm, or movement, hence the iconic innovative Water Rail which wends throughout this considered space, a wonderfully tactile hand rail / water rill love child, offering subtle support and intervention in place of a ubiquitous hand rail.
At its heart a seat surrounded by scentless roses - a deliberate and poignant plant choice, as losing sense of smell is one of the early signs of Parkinson’s in some.
I have always known her as a woman of empathy and deep emotional intelligence and every plant, stalk and stem within this glorious garden is deliberate and beautiful.
Well Done Arit and Thank You
