With the lack of rain here in London Town my garden is definitely struggling, the dahlias give a few flowers although the nasturtiums are currently flowering their socks off.
But that is about all - so it makes me even more excited and super impressed when I spot the buckets of British grown blooms
Thank goodness for those Clever British Growers!

In celebration of I was thrilled to create a spot of and for Strawberry Hill House & Garden this afternoon using beautiful blooms grown by the brilliant Charlotte Johnston
Grown with skill and picked with love, it was a joy to work with such a special smorgasbord of stems grown by a creative and passionate Flower Friend
As I said to the assembled throng, I was the Amuse Bouche to the spectacle that is the from 10 - 13 Sept. Over 30 fab florists will fill the house and gardens with immersive installation using only British-grown blooms and sustainable techniques.

A box of slightly underwhelming buds arrived but we florists have faith - and we know just what a dramatic diva that Sarah Bernhardt peony is! Because within a few days those buds became these most perfectly petalled peonies!
