Sad day for the psychedelic trance culture. 💔

Another icon of the Goa psytrance scene has left this dimension: DJ Jörg has departed.

A pioneer who helped ignite the psychedelic movement. He embodied the spirit of discovery that inspired generations: driving overland by bus from his native Germany all the way to India, decades ago, he did seminal parties, founded Shiva Space Technology, released countless tracks – some became dance floor classics like “Shiva Devotional” as Shiva Shidapu –, supported new artists, and became an icon of this global movement.

Danielle, we celebrate your greatness everyday and we feel your absence with the same gut wrenching missing, that hasn’t changed in a year. Today is your birthday and so we hold you even tighter in our minds, everyday is for you but especially today.

We held a memorial for Danielle on Friday, we played our music in her honour and a few select people paid beautiful tribute to her. Thanks to everyone involved for their incredible efforts, to all those that came and to Todmorden and its whole community for all it brings to us.

Happy Birthday Danielle, with us always, not a single moment forgotten ###
