Lilac & Lace Floral Design Rebecca creates stunning designs for weddings, sourcing as much locally as possible. I am Rebecca and I am excited to bring you Lilac & Lace Floral Design.

I love all things floral and I hope you agree that my designs are a reflection of that. I want my designs to celebrate the flowers themselves, from the long elegant stem of a Calla Lily to the stunning scent of David Austin Roses. My style is very much English Country Garden with the odd contemporary design thrown in. When I am not in my Studio, I am with my mischievous 2 year old daughter, Mia. She is my everything, my inspiration, my muse. She like me, loves the outdoors, being in the garden and wildlife. It must be said, I haven’t always been a Florist, I started out as a Meteorologist working for the likes of the Met Office, ITV and Sky News. I did thoroughly enjoy my time forecasting the weather, but my creative side was screaming to be let out. One year, my Husband booked me on to the ‘Introduction to Floristry course’ at Hadlow College and I have never looked back! I trained under the very talented Lesley Young and Tracy Benton, and they moulded my raw potential into the Florist you see today.

Claire and Dean married yesterday with the most incredible Autumnal colour palette.

They chose chair sashes and table runners to perfectly compliment the trees outside turning burnt oranges, deep reds and golden browns.

We tied Pew Ends to the chairs for their Ceremony and then moved these flowers into Bud vases on their tables to leave plenty of room for their feasting platters.

The flowers were all Kent grown by , and , keeping it as local as possible and supporting our amazing network of growers.

Huge congratulations to Claire and Dean. I hope you had the most incredible day with your loved ones.

Taylor and Charlie married yesterday with Autumnal abundance.

Their ceremony was lined with potted garden Ferns, which moved to the tables afterwards and are now to be planted in their parents gardens as a beautiful reminder of their day.

The couple paired pumpkins with gorgeous tonal chair sashes and table runners, and Claire's trios of faux candles for added ambience. In between, we placed a handful of Kent grown flowers in delicate bud vases. The tables really were a sight to behold.. seasonal, elegant and just perfect for The Plough.

A huge congratulations to Taylor and Charlie. I wish you all the happiness in the world.

And a massive thank you to and for their gorgeous kent grown flowers.

Im back at The Plough tomorrow for another gorgeous day filled with Autumnal loveliness.. best get creating!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rebecca is genuinely the loveliest and most wonderful florist you could ask for. We found her when looking for a more environmentally conscious florist and her approach to locally sourcing flowers and minimising waste really won us over. Our brief was honestly quite vague but Rebecca took it and created the most beautiful arrangements that we are still stunned by days after our wedding.

However, what I will remember just as much as the gorgeous flowers is Rebecca's kindness and boundless enthusiasm. When we had our final chat before the wedding, my partner and I were feeling quite nervous, but Rebecca's genuine excitement really gave us a boost and somehow left us feeling more excited too!

Rebecca, we cannot thank you enough for everything!

My couples really are the best 🥹

A few hours to slow down, get creative and make something beautiful this Christmas.

My Christmas Wreath Workshops are always one of my favourite parts of the festive season.

Small, relaxed and wonderfully cosy, with just four of us around the table.

You’ll make your own beautiful Christmas wreath using British grown foliage, a handmade willow ring and a lovely selection of festive decorations, with plenty of guidance from me along the way.

And, of course, there’ll be something lovely to drink while we create.

This year’s workshops are selling really quickly, with several dates already sold out.

So, if you’ve been thinking about joining me for a few hours of Christmas creativity (or you know someone who would absolutely love it), now is a good time to book.

Where: My Orpington studio
Price: £65 per person
Small groups of just 4

Around 2 hours of festive, creative loveliness.

Come and make something beautiful with me, and give yourself a little bit of Christmas magic along the way.

Sabrina and Marius married the weekend before last with the most delicious colour palette of burnt oranges, rich terracottas and deep greens.

They chose to line their aisle with potted ferns and their top table with a large display of Kent grown Dahlia, Chrysanthemum and Amaranthus. The library at Bishopsgate was the most incredible backdrop with the intoxicating smell of earthy leather-bound books. After their ceremony they had their drinks reception in the library itself with a trio of potted ferns on each riser table.

The couple then moved everyone to Studio Gaultier on Tottenham Court Road for delicious food and drinks. The long tables were lined with delicate bud vases full of Kent grown Cosmos, Dahlia and Lisianthus.

Huge congratulations to you both. I hope you had the best day celebrating with your loved ones.

Thank you to my amazing growers

It is always a very good day when Helen England - Kent Wedding Photography drops a wedding gallery into your inbox.

Laura and Jonathan got married in early July Theploughatleigh | Kent Barn Wedding Venue & Pub with a riot of colour and their incredibly cute dogs (that's a post for another day!)

The way Helen captures the vibrant colour and every twiddly bit of the flowers makes my heart so happy.

Laura and Jonathan chose to marry outside in the gorgeous summer sunshine framed by rambling urns, which were moved behind the top table after the ceremony.

Laura's bouquet was small and delicate, and full to bursting with the very best British grown flowers our growers could muster. Roses, Daucus, Phlox and Echinacea to name but a few. Jonathan's Buttonhole showcased the most beautiful Lisianthus from Sally Hawkenbury Flower Farm.

I cannot wait to show you the rest of this gorgeous gallery.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

A summer garden, a village church and a marquee filled with the people you love the most.

On paper, it sounds wonderfully simple, but..

Every detail of this July wedding had been chosen with such care by our Bride Alice, that the whole day felt effortlessly romantic.

Marquee: Perfect Pitch Marquees Ltd

Soft shades of pink and green, alongside beautiful floral table linens, delicate crockery and gold cutlery. Alice created the most wonderful ambience with elegant lamps casting a warm glow as day turned into night.

Our flowers were designed to sit gently amongst it all. Not competing or overpowering, just simply becoming part of Alice and Josh's story.

Low abundant runner arrangements and clusters of bud vases created movement along the tables, weaving together flowers, candlelight and conversation to create the most beautiful garden party atmosphere.

Every single stem was British grown, as always.

One of the things I love most about this wedding is how beautifully it challenges the idea that British flowers can only create a rustic look.

British grown flowers can be romantic.

They can be refined.

They can be luxurious.

Completely at home in the most elegant of settings.

Alice created something truly beautiful and Jo Bradbury | Artistic Editorial Wedding Photography captured it all so perfectly through her lens.

Libby chose the most beautiful colour palette of whites and pale blues, with statuesque Delphinium alongside petal filled Dahlia and delicate Cosmos.

It was truly and honour to create for such a sweet and lovely couple. I cannot wait to see the professional shots from

A huge thank you to this weeks amazing growers, especially those who sourced British grown Delphinium right at the very end of their season. I hugely appreciate you.

Hollie celebrated her 40th birthday in style on Sunday with a party

She choose the most beautiful colour palette of whites, pinks, peaches and lilacs, and we filled the room with an abundance of British grown Dahlia, Roses, Lisianthus and more! The scent was heavenly and I got to make my favourite statement urns.

Having my flowers in Henry VIII's Dining Room will always be the most incredible feeling to me. The room is just awe-inspiring and its a real pinch me moment.

Happy Birthday Hollie!
