SFC Coronavirus action

Following the recent advice from the Government to avoid public spaces as much as possible, we have made the decision to suspend fencing until at least the end of term. We will re-evaluate our position regarding the summer term based on how the situation develops in the coming weeks and will keep you informed with what's happening as we decide.

For current intermediate fencers, as you have only been fencing for one week we will be happy to let you take the intermediate sessions next term (assuming they go ahead) with the option of retaking beginners for no additional cost if you wish.

We hope you appreciate this is an unprecedented situation and this is not a decision that has been taken lightly, but needs to be taken to ensure the safety of all members, the coaches and their families as far as possible.

Streatham sent a team, including Gavin (Epee), Ceri (Sabre), Oliver(Men's foil) and Janice (Women's foil) to Wimbledon FC to fence the yearly match, The Pip Rowland. This time we did a lot better and in an achingly close match almost walked away with victory, but ending up loosing 39-40!! Maybe next year aye!

LAST CALL FOR CHRISTMAS DINNER!

This year, the dinner will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday, 19th December 2019 at Hung's Chinese Restaurant, 2 Sunnyhill Road, Streatham, SW16 2UH.
