It’s going to be an amazing show with an amazing opener. 🎉😍

So excited to be rejoining the DUBLIN BOWIE FESTIVAL this year! I’ll be opening for both sold out “Bowie’s Golden Years” shows: Friday 27th February at Whelan’s, and Saturday 28th February at O***m. A real privilege to open again for my mentor Mike Garson, as well as Mark Plati, Earl Slick, and Gerry Leonard. See you there ⚡️

What can we say about our lovely loyal supporter Paul Henderson. Paul has been with us performing one way or another, at every single event since day 1. Firstly with his wonderful band https://www.aladdinsane.uk/ and the last few years as both a solo and collaborative act. It means so much to us that year after year he has never let us down and we are again super excited to see what he brings in 2026. During previous events Paul has performed amazing solo accoustic sets and has also done collaborations with Kevin Armstrong and Monica Frank. He is definitely a fan favourite and so happy he has agreed yet again to be with us next June.

We are so delighted that Walker Hornung - Walker and The Brotherhood of the Grape are flying in from NYC for the event next year along with his amazing band ‘The Brotherhood of the Grape’ with Eddy Joe and Ed the Ace. I first met Walker while in rehearsals for ‘Richard Strange sings the songs of Lou Reed’ tour back in 2019 as Walker was to open on the tour. Walker is as rock and roll as they come, he took the red eye from NYC and came straight from Heathrow to the rehearsal studio wearing a Bowie T shirt and full of New York vibes he grabbed a guitar and blew us away with his amazing voice. On the last night of that tour, I begged Walker to come and play the Bowie event the following year and he agreed! Subsequently have toured with Walker and EJ on the ‘Lust for Life’ tour with Clem Burke (RIP) and Glen Matlock in 2023 and one couldn’t wish for a more professional and talented singer/songwriter/musician to grace us with their music.

Walker and The Brotherhood of The Grape first appeared live at our event in 2022 and again in 2024 (because of lockdowns his ‘20 and ‘21 appearances were virtual) and we are so happy that he will again be joining us in 2026. He will be bringing some special guests on with him including our dear friend Richard Strange, and our own beloved Monica Frank, after their exciting collaborations together at Walkers own show in Holborn following the Bowie Event in 2024. Also as a special guest, event OG and lovely friend Phil Backhouse.
Walker has collaborated with Bowie Alumni, Gerry Leonard, on his album ‘The Beekeeper’ and to list his other collaborations here is too many to mention.

Walker has an amazing history of playing through the decades on the New York Music scene, playing the legendary venues and collaborating with some of the best musicians on the scene. I urge you to check out his website and his music and we look forward to welcoming him and the band to this event in 2026.
