As the year comes to an end, I’ve been doing a bit of reflecting… one of those moments where you sit back and think, God really had my back this year 🤍
This year wasn’t about shouting or proving anything. It was about growth, discipline, learning myself properly and becoming more confident in who I am… as a woman, a mum and a planner. I’m honestly super proud of myself 💕.
So here are 10 things from this year that made me stop and say, okay Saphron… you actually did that 😌✨
1️⃣ I helped 32 people plan their dream parties, weddings and corporate events 🥹
That’s 32 people who trusted me with their most important moments and I showed up every time with love, bringing organisation and calmness to their big days.
2️⃣ I changed how I work and introduced my Wedding Coordination package, stepping away from “On the Day” coordination 🥳
It meant I could work better, protect my energy, and give my couples the experience I really believe in… the Shola Events way 🎉
3️⃣ Work had me on a full-on TOUR this year 😭
London, Croydon, Cambridgeshire, Derby, Somercotes, Cannock, Wolverhampton, Solihull and of course my home town Birmingham.
If my car boot could talk, it would have stories 😅 Events bag packed, playlists on repeat, doing what I do best ☺️
4️⃣ I travelled to Baltimore, New York and Turkey ✈️🤍
All family holidays. All intentional. Choosing to spend proper time with my family, be present and make memories was really important to me and I’m so grateful I could do that 🙏🏾
5️⃣ I was recently going through a box of goody bags from exhibitions I’ve attended and it honestly made me smile 😌
All those rooms I walked into, conversations with corporates, little chats and connections at The Delegate Wranglers Summer BBQ and The Business Show… the right rooms matter and so does how you show up in them.
6️⃣ One of my favourite moments this year was being invited to Centre Parcs Family Fun Day with my mum and my sweet daughters 🥹
We did the whole water park, ate GOOD food (the steak was 10/10 😭), laughed all day and my mum was just so proud seeing the opportunities and benefits coming from Shola Events. The feeling of knowing my parents are proud is just unmatched 🥹.
My kids had the best time ever and that meant everything to me 🥰
7️⃣ I have BEEN OUTSIDE this year 🤣💃🏽
Spontaneous nights out, proper laughs with my close friends, dancing like I don’t have emails waiting for me 🎉.
It’s been a few years since I lived like this, and finding that balance between work and enjoying life has been everything.
8️⃣ One of the biggest lessons this year was learning to be gentle with myself.
I didn’t make that a priority before and I saw the impact of that.
Now I give myself space to breathe, reset and keep going without tearing myself down. Being kind to my mind is now non-negotiable and it’s made such a difference.
9️⃣ I bought my first car this year 💜
Her name is Barney because she’s a sleek, shimmery, purple mini SUV 😌✨
I always thought my first car would be like a £600 old Corsa and that would’ve golden to me, as long as it could drive.
It just shows how goals change as you grow!
Barney represents freedom, independence and answered prayers. I’m genuinely grateful.
🔟 And finally… I’ve seen more from my business this year than I ever have before.
Still loads to do, still building but it’s paving the way for the life I want for my kids and I 💕.
I’m beyond thankful for what it allows right now.
I’ve learned more, stretched more and moved with more clarity. Being a part of Shanakay Luckoo-Millington Boss Up Elites business strategy coaching group has played a huge part in that. I’m genuinely grateful to be in a space that challenges me, sharpens me and pushes me to think bigger.
This year taught me a LOT and I’m taking every lesson with me. I’m so grateful to God for covering me, guiding me and keeping me grounded through it all 🙏🏾
Shola Events isn’t just my dream… it’s my way out.
I know my stepdad Nugget is always looking over me, watching my steps and cheering me on. His love, strength and presence live on in me every single day. Rest in perfect peace 🤍🕊️
Also thinking of my beautiful Nanny, who we lost this year… her love, strength and prayers still guide me every day. Rest in perfect peace 🤍🕊️
To my family, friends, clients and suppliers who’ve been part of this year’s journey, I want to say thank you. Every message, referral, booking, prayer, late night call and word of encouragement did not go unnoticed. Your support means more to me than you know and it’s something I’ll carry with me always 🙏🏾🤍
I’m grateful, focused and ready!
2026… I’m going to be an absolute machine 😌💅🏽✨
