My new and improved On-the-Day Coordination Package is back, but this time it’s been rebuilt the Shola Events way 💖

This is for the couple who has planned most of their wedding themselves but now needs an expert to step in and make sure the actual wedding day runs smoothly 📋

Thinking “we’ll just see how it goes on the morning” is not a solid wedding plan! 😭

Everything you’ve booked for your wedding is pointless.

I often see brides post this question:

“I’ve booked my venue, catering, photographer, DJ, cake, decor… am I missing anything?”

1. Yes. A lot.
2. Your requirements and an On-the-Day Coordinator (at leastttt).

Booking suppliers is great, but knowing how those suppliers actually fit into your wedding day is where the real planning starts.

In this video, bride-to-be Natasha needed a photographer and videographer for her dream day.

Before I even picked up my phone to find a quote, I had to break down her requirements properly!

I’m not the type of planner to throw random supplier names at my bride and call it “planning”.

I’m delighted to be joining Boss Up Live by on Saturday 27th June 2026, at Resorts World Birmingham as the Official Event Planner.

As the owner of Shola Events, creating memorable experiences is what I love most, so when invited me to be part of Boss Up Live, I was excited to say yes.

Boss Up Live is an intimate experience for ambitious women who are ready to raise their standards, expand their networks, and position themselves for bigger opportunities.

I’m looking forward to helping create an incredible experience for every woman in the room and supporting Shanakay in bringing her vision for Boss Up Live to life.

There’s something special about a room full of women who are committed to growth, success, and creating more for themselves, and I can’t wait to be part of it.

Your bridesmaids aren’t doing their job… there, I said it 🤷🏽‍♀️

When you asked them to be your bridesmaids, they didn’t sign up to coordinate.

They signed up to celebrate!

Quick reality check… if you’ve got them:

• Chasing suppliers
• Going back and forth with the venue
• Liaising with guests
• Trying to manage the wedding day timeline

Or anything of that nature… babygirl, they’re not bridesmaids.

They’re unpaid coordinators and they don’t want to do that 🥴

What? Someone had to say it 🫣

Your bridesmaids want to hype you up, keep your planning journey fun, write their speech, make fun of your groom 🤣 and stand beside you, fully present.

They’ll say, “It’s fine, honestly it’s not a problem.”

Lies. All lies 😣

What they really mean is “I’d rather be sipping something cute, posing in my bridesmaid dress and enjoying my faves wedding day” 🍸👗💍

Your bridesmaids should be bridesmaids.
Your family should be family.
Your guests should be guests.

I’m curious… if you’re a bride, are your bridesmaids your hype women or have they become your coordinators?

Don’t get in my way when I’m coordinating. Respectfully ✋🏾

When I’m coordinating a wedding day, I’m not there to guess, gossip or play pass the parcel with random problems.

Imagine trying to manage a timeline while people are freestyling behind your back…

Yuck.

If I’m coordinating, I’ve provided the plan.

There isn’t another version floating around.
There isn’t a secret side plan.
There isn’t a “let’s just quickly change this” plan.

There is THE PLAN.
The day flows best when everyone follows it.

Don’t change things without me.
Don’t improvise with the timeline.
Don’t keep important information to yourself.
Don’t pull me for gossip.

I’m not that planner.

That’s EXACTLY why my couples love me 🥰

I’m there to flutter through the day like a wedding fairy 🧚🏾. Clipboard in one hand 📋 champagne in the other 🥂.

I’m there to work with the extravagant family of suppliers we’ve built because we’re all working towards the same goal… Giving our couple the wedding day they dreamed of 💖💍

And yes, quite frankly, I would like to enjoy a fresh canapé and sway to the good tunes once I know the day is flowing exactly how it should 🎶

But that only happens when the plan is clear.

I said I would NEVER offer this again as a wedding planner… On-the-day coordination 😳

I meant it too.

Proper on-the-day coordination starts months before the wedding, this we know 👌🏾

I would create the timeline, speak with suppliers, oversee setup, manage arrivals, guide the wedding party, answer questions and solve problems behind the scenes…

But if the wedding hadn’t been properly pulled together before I came onboard, I’d usually end up in one of two positions:

Either I became a fast-track wedding planner for free, firefighting things that should have been organised beforehand…

Or I stayed strictly within the package and the day became harder than it needed to be because there was never a real plan behind it.

Neither felt fair for the couple, the suppliers, the guests or the standard I hold myself to as a wedding planner.

So I stopped offering stand-alone on-the-day coordination completely 🤷🏽‍♀️.

Fast forward to now 👀

I’ve worked hard to crack the code and create a process that feels guided, organised and stress-free without risking my couples’ dream day or my reputation.

I’m so excited to announce… 📣

On-the-day coordination is officially back!
