But when we start planning your wedding, I need you to be ready to make decisions.

Ready to choose the venue.

Ready to meet suppliers.

Ready to sign contracts.

Ready to pay deposits.

Ready to actually MOVE.

I won’t spend time creating your perfect supplier team, building out your vision, arranging consultations and mapping out this incredible wedding while you’re still deciding whether you’re ready to actually book any of it.

That’s fantasy planning.

When you hire me to plan your wedding, I want to be able to say “This is the photographer I think is perfect for you” and get the consultation in the diary.

I want to show you the venue that ticks every box and be able to move towards securing it.

I want to bring your vision to life while the right suppliers and dates are actually still available.

That requires you to come into the planning process decision-ready and payment-ready.

You don’t need to have every answer… that’s what you’ve hired me for 😌

But I do need you to be ready to make the decisions once I help you find those answers.

On-the-Day Wedding Coordination by Shola Events 💍

3 weeks before the wedding, Jessie (the bride) had no coordinator and was STRESSED! 😩

Her daughter reached out to me because Jessie thought she had everything under control… but the moment we sat down and went through it properly… there were quite a few things that still needed sorting 👀

With around 250 guests attending, this definitely was NOT the kind of wedding you just “wing on the day” 😭

So of course… I stepped in and did what I do best 💁🏽‍♀️

We went through everything and:

• Filled all planning gaps

• Booked planning sessions for different parts of the day

• Built their bespoke signature Shola Events minute-by-minute wedding day timeline

• Made sure everyone knew exactly what they were doing and when.

Very quickly… Jessie went from STRESSED to calm, confident and actually able to breathe again 🥹🙌🏾

Then came the wedding day 🎉

Jessie & Howard got to fully enjoy their beautiful day while my team and I handled everything behind the scenes, making sure everything ran smoothly and exactly how it should.

Everything you’ve booked for your wedding is pointless.

I often see brides post this question:

“I’ve booked my venue, catering, photographer, DJ, cake, decor… am I missing anything?”

1. Yes. A lot.
2. Your requirements and an On-the-Day Coordinator (at leastttt).

Booking suppliers is great, but knowing how those suppliers actually fit into your wedding day is where the real planning starts.

In this video, bride-to-be Natasha needed a photographer and videographer for her dream day.

Before I even picked up my phone to find a quote, I had to break down her requirements properly!

I’m not the type of planner to throw random supplier names at my bride and call it “planning”.

I’m delighted to be joining Boss Up Live by on Saturday 27th June 2026, at Resorts World Birmingham as the Official Event Planner.

As the owner of Shola Events, creating memorable experiences is what I love most, so when invited me to be part of Boss Up Live, I was excited to say yes.

Boss Up Live is an intimate experience for ambitious women who are ready to raise their standards, expand their networks, and position themselves for bigger opportunities.

I’m looking forward to helping create an incredible experience for every woman in the room and supporting Shanakay in bringing her vision for Boss Up Live to life.

There’s something special about a room full of women who are committed to growth, success, and creating more for themselves, and I can’t wait to be part of it.
