Smitha Bobby, Director of Bhumi Arts explaining the vision of Bhumi Arts and Events at 'Experience the magic of Kathakali' event on the 19th Oct. Kathakali is one of those rich and vibrant dance-drama performing art that forms the cultural identity of Malayali communities settled in the UK. Bringing Kathakali to Milton Keynes is part of an ambition to inspire, motivate and create opportunities for youth to understand and learn about world heritage art forms.

Tinku Rose Thomas explaining about Kathakali during the 'Experience the magic of Kathakali' event organised by Bhumi Arts and Events on the 19th Oct. 'Katha' means story and 'Kali' means play. Kathakali is a beautiful art form that involves vibrant costumes, intricate 3d makeup called chutii, symbolic story telling using facial expressions and complex dance moves. The sign language is extremely ancient though the art form developed during 17th century depicting ancient stories from the puranas.
