I am a portrait, event and boudoir photographer that captures the true emotion of your day, be that a milestone birthday,wedding, barmitzvah or portraiture. That can be by putting you back into the event, highlighting things you did not see or by showing a side of you that you have been hiding. Quick question. When did you last update your photos?
If you had to think about it, this is for you.
Every week I hear the same things:
"My photos are years old. I don't look like that any more."
"I know I need content. I just never get round to booking a shoot."

It's called Momentum Partnership. Stay seen, all year.
Here's how it works. You and I meet individually once a quarter for a 90-minute session, either at my studio in Bermondsey or somewhere in London that suits you. Across the year that's 2 photo sessions and 2 video sessions, all planned around your business and what you actually need.
After every session you get 10 edited images or 2 edited videos, plus a behind-the-scenes clip. There's also a bonus group shoot in the summer, included.
You pay one monthly fee. No big one-off bill, and you never have to start from scratch again.
Gander turns 16 this month. Over those years I've watched brilliant people book one shoot, love their photos, then not update them for years. Meanwhile their business has moved on and their photos haven't.
Momentum keeps you current. And because we work together every few months, the camera gets easier. I've seen the most camera-shy people end up enjoying it.
I'm only offering 3 founding places: £110 a month for the first 6 months, then £150. It's a 6-month minimum. Once those 3 places are gone, the price goes up to £175 a month.

Gander turns 16 this month!

Being a nosey sod, I went digging into how many businesses actually make it that far. Of every 100 that started in 2010, the same year as me, only around 15 are still going. Roughly 1 in 7. Nearly two thirds don't even reach their fifth birthday.

There's no data just for photographers, but I'd bet our odds are worse. In those 16 years we've had a pandemic that shut photography down overnight, a camera in everyone's pocket, and now AI. One recent survey found 58% of photographers say they've already lost work to it.

I normally can't stand "lessons I've learnt" birthday posts, but there are three things I genuinely swear by:

Be different
Most people can name five London photographers without thinking. I decided early on not to be like any of them, in how I look, how I talk, who I work with and what I shoot. If you're the same as everyone else, you end up competing on price, and nobody wins that race.

Keep changing
I started out shooting events. Then I built a portable studio, then a home studio, and now I've got a proper studio in Bermondsey. These days it's mostly branding and corporate work, with the odd party thrown in for fun. Almost nothing looks like it did in 2010, and that was always the plan.

Help people
I mean properly help, not as a marketing trick. It's my business, so I get to decide when to do something just because it's the right thing. And honestly, most of my best work has come from people I helped who then sent a friend my way.

So thank you to everyone who's sat in front of my camera feeling awkward and left feeling a bit more awesome. Thank you to everyone who's recommended me to a mate. You're the reason I'm still here.

And if you run your own thing, whenever you started: past five years, you're in the minority. Past ten, you're rare.

Because today is my 16th business birthday I'm starting a month of celebrations.

First up I'm launching the all new Chamagne and Cake Shoot.
Look I get it you want to celebrate a milestone and just don't know how. So just like everyone else you are leading with "10 years in business, 10 lessons I've learned" and just like that nobody cares and they just scroll past.

Most people wait to “feel ready” before booking a branding shoot.

Ready to feel confident.
Ready to feel photogenic.
Ready to feel less awkward.
Ready to feel like the kind of person who belongs in front of a camera.

But here’s the problem:

Ready isn’t a feeling. It’s a decision.

If you wait for confidence to show up first, you’ll wait forever.
Confidence is the result of doing the thing, not the prerequisite.

I see this every week.

People walk in apologising for their awkwardness.
For not knowing what to do with their hands.

Then when we start something shifts.

They don't suddenly “feel ready”…
they decide to stop performing.

Shoulders drop, breath returns.
The real person arrives.

Branding photography isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about being recognisable.
It’s about letting the camera meet the version of you that’s been hiding behind “not yet”.

So if you’ve been waiting for the moment you magically feel ready…
stop waiting.

Make the decision.
Show up as you are.
Let the awkwardness be part of the story, it always transforms.

I tell people all the time:

“Show up as who you are, not who you think you should be.”

And then I realised…
I wasn’t doing that myself.

So here’s me doing the thing I ask everyone else to do.

Awkward. Present. Real.

Not waiting for the perfect moment or the perfect version.

If you’ve been hiding too, maybe this is your sign.

Elena In London ...

Memorable in so many ways. I first met Elena 7 or 8 years ago and we've worked together many many times. This shoot, taken shortly before Elena relocated, was a celebration of London and all that it had to offer. There's a different feel to these. A love letter to the city she's called home for several years. As we finished, sitting on the Mayfair townhouse steps, the final thoughts were "London is magical, you get to be different people, in so many different ways, all in a single day" ... I'd like to think we captured a tiny bit of that.
